  • NATHAN GANN

A Soldier at the Battle of Kings Mountain

  • Nathan Gann is shown as Chancellor of the Greene County Court in the May term of 1830. It is said Nathan

married four times and fathered 19 children. He died in Limestone, TN on July 18, 1839. His last wife was

Sarah Delaney "of Washington County", who is named as his widow in the Chancery Court, Greene County,

    February 1850.

This photograph is said to be Nathan Gann Senior; however, it may be his son, Nathan Junior.

  • Nathan died on his farm in Washington County. In addition to his widow, 18 heirs are named in the

Washington County Estates and Deeds records.

In 1932, an application for a Military Headstone gives Nathan's date of death as July 18, 1839:

    Gann Cemetery, Washington County, TN
