Once again The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick is organizing an event to support the Irish physically challenged athletes who participate in the Empire State Games. This is a fun event for a very good cause. If any members or friends are interested in attending the event please see the flier on the following page describing the event details. The games are held every June at Mitchel Park located between Nassau Community College and Hofstra University.

Refrigerating System Operating Engineers and Fire Safety Directors: Renew your Certificate of Qualification
LaGuardia’s Building Operation Maintenance and Recordkeeping (BOMR) course is certified by the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) to fulfill the continuing education requirement needed for the Certificate of Qualification renewal.
• Review fire safety codes and refrigeration machine operator responsibilities • Prepare for the FDNY Z-51 exam

Move forward in your career! Become a Licensed Refrigeration Machine Operator
Get certified by the Fire Department of New York to operate, repair and maintain large scale refrigeration equipment.
• Course content approved by Fire Department of New York for the National Association of Power Engineers (NAPE)
• Meets required 200 hours of class and field work and prepares you for written and practical exam • Provides training for EPA certification as a “Universal Technician” • Open to members of NAPE. Non-members must join at time of enrollment.
