Key Take-Aways
Local Governments
• Evolution of Successful Projects (EE RE)
• Own & Maintain vs. Contract or Leased Services
• Cost Savings (Avoided Costs & Reduced Peak)
• Small Footprint within the Community
• Great Interest within a community, but many
smaller projects; Support Tools Helpful

Solar PV Looking Ahead
31
WGL Holdings is committed to continue investment in distributed generation , including solar PV.
WGL is actively seeking opportunities to deploy capital with Federal Government partners for distributed generation projects
Highly successful hedge fund manager David Einhorn of Greenlight Capital recently published a presentation in Business Insider noting the following:
Annual global Solar installations have grown from approximately 2GW in 2006 to over 45GW in 2014
Solar PV still makes up less than ½ of 1% of global electrical generation capacity
Solar PV Capacity is projected to triple by 2020 to approximately 120 GW
