The Formation of the NFSIMSCThe Formation of the NFSIMSC

• The idea to merge the systems came out of a panel discussion at the 1989 IAFC Conference in Indianapolis.

• Several meetings between FIRESCOPE and FGC folks were held in 1990 and 1991.

• The NFSIMSC was officially formed at a meeting in Chesterfield, Virginia in 1991.

• The NFSIMSC adopted a Constitution and By-Laws in 1993.

• The NFSIMSC is legally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation in the State of Texas.
