2014 GuidanceGeospatial Education and Workforce DevelopmentThe FGDC seeks continuing feedback and input from the NGAC on the issues of geospatial education and workforce development, including the following:

Identify opportunities to leverage ongoing professional geospatial-related certification initiatives by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI), the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), and the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) for the benefit of the larger US geospatial enterprise.

Provide input as needed on the implementation of the Administration’s STEM strategic plan (government-wide, or within specific agencies, as appropriate)

revision process NGAC agreed on following action:

ACTION: The FGDC and the NGAC will provide input to the Department of Labor (DOL) by July 21 on the next round of revisions to the DOL Standard Occupational Classifications.

FGDC submitted NGAC input to DOL on July 21
