PASCH 2018-19

“Goethe Institut” organised PASCH Interviews at Max Mueller Bhavan New

Delhi for school children on 21st Nov 2018.Three students of Class X, Mehak,

Mishka Jain and Kareesha Nagpal have been awarded the scholarship for a 3

week Youth Camp to be held in Germany in the summer of 2019.

The students were adjudged on the basis of their language proficiency, social

and communication skills.

The matrix of performing arts shone bright when the students of DPS Vasant Kunj unleashed their

creative synesthesia at Kala Utsav 2018, District South West A, held on 23rd October 2018 at Sadhu

Vaswani International School for Girls and Suraj Bhan DAV Public School.

Siya Pota hit the right keys to bag the First Position in the Instrumental Music Competition for

Girls and Boys. Shrabya Mishra’s fluid strokes helped her win the First Prize in the Solo Painting

Competition for Girls and Boys. In addition, Mirang Puri captured the audience with his melodious

voice to receive the First Prize in the Vocal Music Competition, for Girls and Boys. These three

winners will be participating in the state Level Kala Utsav to be held shortly.

Inter DPS Football Tournament

School Football team has won the Zonal Inter DPS Football Tournament Boys (Open) held at DPS

Rohtak from 26th – 28th October 2018. Gauran Rathi was awarded the ‘Best Goal Keeper’ of the

tournament

CHEMICALS, USE AND MISUSE.

N. Sriya of class XI E won first prize in Poster Competition, held at G. B. S. S. School, Mahipalpur on 29th of

August, 2018. The competition was part of ZONAL SCIENCE ACTIVITY and the topic was,

CHEMICALS, USE AND MISUSE.

Riya Pal of class XI D also won first prize in Slogan Writing in the above mentioned activity. The prize

winning slogan on the topic, WATER CRISIS was :

The school band, IRUS, participated in CRESCENDO, an Interschool Western

Music Competition organized by Amity International School, Mayur Vihar on 19th

‘No Tobacco Day’ Musical Drama Competition

Indian Cancer Society 2018 organised a competition for the students of Class VI to XII on 20th April 2018 at

Navy Children School, Chanakyapuri. Our School Band IRIS participated in the

‘NO TOBACCO DAY’ Musical Drama Competition organized by the Indian Cancer Society. The School Band

IRIS won the 2nd Prize. The participants were Aastha Mohapatra, Aarushi Malhotra, Aniket Jain, Sabar

Nimmagada, Dhwani Tekchandani, Shrabya Mishra, Garima Baruah and Kriish Rohit. They received cash

prize of Rs. 6000/- and certificates.

An Inter-School Science Festival ‘Scientia est Potentia’ was organized by

DPS R. K. Puram on 28th April 2018.

Aryaman Sharma and Mihir Charan won 1st Prize in Model Making (Project – FED (Fire Extinguisher Drive)

and IAMU (Image Analysing Multitasking Drone), Imtisola and Ayushi won 2nd Prize in Chem Canvas (To make

a painting on social issues like environment, industrial hazards etc.) and Arnav Chawla and Vishwajeet Shukla

won 3rd Prize in Outdoor Lab. (Kidney Dialysis Machine)
