ABS Academy is one of the premier & reputed Institution in private sector under the University of Burdwan/ WBUTTEP&A where courses of Education under recognition of NCTE are run like M.Ed., B.Ed., & D.El.Ed.along with other professional courses like M.B.A., B.B.A., B.C.A., B.H.S.M. as well as Dioloma in Polytechnic for about last ten tears. Very recently an English Medium School under CBSE curriculum namely “ABS Academy of School” is going to start from the ensuing session. The Institution as a whole caters quality and excellence in Education.

ABS Academy is situated almost at the heart of the Steel City, Durgapur, at J.P.Avenue, Sagarbhanga, Durgapur-713211 in the district of Paschim Bardhaman,Durgapur,West Bengal.It is located in between 87.32 E Longitude and 23.48 N Latitude.It has an average elevation of 65 meters, Durgapur is a Tier-II City which was previously under the district of Burdwan. The city is on the bank of “Damodar River”,just before it enters the alluvial plains of Bengal. The topography is undulating. The coal bearing area of the Raniganj coalfields lies just beyond Durgapur, some parts intrude into the area.The area was deeply forested til l recent times and some streaks of the original “Sal”and“Eucalyptus”forests can still be seen.

Durgapur subdivision is surrounded by Asansol Sadar Sub-Division on the West,Purba Bardhaman district on the East,Bankura district across the Damodar in the south and Birbhum districs across the “Ajoy River” to the north. National Highway-2,14 and Asian Highway pass through city jurisdiction.Bus termini are Benachity-I &II,Prantika,Durgapur Railway Station Morh,City Center and Nadiha. Intra City transport are met by Ola-Cabs,Taxis,Auto-Rikshaws,Mini buses etc.

Kazi Najrul Islam Airport at Andal is only about15 Kms away from the ABS Academy.Climate is tropical wet and dry. Maximum and Minimum day temperature remain within 34° - 38° C and 19° - 24° C respectively in the months of March-April and average rain fall during this time is 25-31mm.Durgapur was named after Durgamohan Chattopadhay ,former “Zaminder of Sagarbhanga”.The main urbanization plan was given by “Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy”, former Chief Minister of West Bengal.

The international time zone is IST(UTC+5.30).The environment of the Institution and its surroundings is very charming with green coverages,free of pollution and ambient. A great harmony is observed among stakeholders.
