    The session set off 0ith the 0onderful and thought"pro/o7ing presentation b+ -r! Etinder Pal

    Singh! 1e put forth the challenges faced b+ the entrepreneurs and highlighted the mone+ as

    ma.or factor! 1e e8patiated the Social Media Mar7eting tips for Small and Medium

    Enterprises! 1o0 to ma7e use of Social Media 0as a great illustration 0hich 0as gratified b+

    proclaiming that Social Media is about amplif+ing 0hat +ou alread+ do and conforming that

    Social Media is more TT than 5rcher+ absolutel+ in terms of generating a transaction ratherthan targeting customers! 9e tal7 about Social Media and the aceboo7 does not gets

    pronounced is hard to imagine! The e8pedition of aceboo7 in less than months to (%%

    million subscribers mar7ed the potential of Social Media and ) Pillars of Social Media

    Microfinance Institutions! 1e stressed that Microfinance is an effecti/e tool in reducing

    propert+! 1e discussed the deli/er+ model of Microfinance! The ) models namel+ Self 1elp

    #roup, 4oint =iabilit+, #rameen 3an7 and Co"operati/e! =egal Structure of Microfinance

    Institutions co/ering T+pes of Microfinance Institutions and =egal egistration 0ere

    mentioned! The secondar+ data 0as used and anal+sed 0ith Ardinar+ =east SBuare

    egressions! Issues in Indian Microfinance 0ere identified and /arious measures 0ere

    suggested to o/ercome the same!

    The second presentation 0as on financial Inclusion in India: 5 Theoretical 5ssessment b+Ms! Shalu ?handel0al! She highlighted the importance of inancial Inclusion in promoting

    inclusi/e gro0th in emerging economies! 1er stud+ focussed on e8amining the current status

    of inancial Inclusion in India and the 0orld in general! She highlighted the measures ta7en

    b+ the #o/ernment of India and 3I for promoting inancial Inclusion! She discussed the

    importance of inancial Inclusion and the effects of the inclusion gi/ing financial literac+ a

    ma.or dri/er to a/oid the e8pensi/e and unreliable financial ser/ices! The /arious measuresb+ 3I and plan of ban7s to promote financial inclusion 0as gi/en in a coherent manner! She

    concluded that in order to achie/e the goal of financial inclusion, polic+ ma7ers, MIs, N#A

    and regulators ha/e to 0or7 together!

    The third paper 0as on Performance E/aluation of Credit Management in 3s ;5 Case

    Stud+ of Mal0a #ramin 3an7< b+ Mr! a7esh 4ain! The stud+ 0as aimed to e/aluate the

    performance of Credit Management in Mal0a #ramin 3an7 ;M#3

    Simran .eet ?aur! The primar+ ob.ecti/e of this paper is to e8plore an inno/ati/e commercial

    method to e8pand enterprises of poor! The paper alsodiscussed the state of micro"franchising

    ser/ices and challenges in India and stud+ the contribution of micro"franchising as a gro0th

    phenomenon 0ith in enterprise de/elopment sector! She e8plained models of Micro"

    franchising and micro"franchising ser/ices in India 0ere also enumerated! She concluded that

    Microfranchising has emerged, not as a competitor to other pro"poor business initiati/es, but

    as another /iable 0a+ to ser/e and catal+e managers, emplo+ees, and entrepreneurs 0ho

    de/elop business models for profitable replication in de/eloping countr+ conte8ts! or

    enterprises this model pro/ides the chance to penetrate potentiall+ untapped mar7ets that 0ould

    other0ise not easil+ be accessible, 0hile ha/ing some social cause for doing it! 5lso there is a

    considerable amount of 0or7 to be done after the micro"franchising infrastructure has been set up!

    The fifth and final paper of the session 0as on Educational =oans: 5 stud+ of commercialban7s in 5mritsar b+ Ms! 4agdish ?aur! The stud+ 0as conducted 7eeping in mind the rising

    e8pense of higher studies and lo0 a0areness! It aimed to stud+ the disbursement practices

    follo0ed b+ public sector ban7s and toe8amine the /ariables considered important 0hile

    sanctioning educational loans! The stud+ used primar+ data and Con/enient Sampling

    co/ering a sample sie of @% public sector ban7s! Ms! ?aur concluded that the disbursement

    practices follo0ed b+ public sector ban7s is satisfactor+ andthe most important /ariables

    considered b+ ban7s 0hile sanctioning education loans are repa+ment abilit+Dcapacit+,

    household income and household assets 6 other famil+ bac7ground!
