Messages SBA has empowered veteran entrepreneurs since 1953. Fifty percent of post-World War II veterans started businesses. In the last year, veterans acquired $1 billion in SBA loans and $18 billion in Federal contacts.
SBA is proud to have awarded four grants to service disabled entrepreneurship training programs. The Federal government awards a minimum of 3% of contracts to SDVOSBs, and VIP makes them competitive.
Vets start businesses and stay in business longer than non-veterans. SBA provides counseling and training through Boots to Business Reboot to all eras of service members, veterans, and military spouses.
2.5 million businesses are owned and operated by veterans, generating $1 Trillion in receipts. B2B and VBOCs provide business expertise and technical assistance to program participants.
Military spouses are experts at adaptability. SBA provides entrepreneurship resources for Military Spouses who want to start businesses.
