THIRD CONSTRUCTION PHASE IS UNDERWAY!

The continuous demand for chalets and perfect weather conditions during this autumn enabled us to start with the necessary groundwork preparations regarding the third construction phase. All building activities are on schedule and we were able to finish the infrastructure for water and power. Worth mentioning is the completion of the fiberglass cable connection for every chalet.

If the weather stays as stable as it has been for the past weeks, preparations for the small swimming lake will also take place.

40 MODEL HOMES!

The third construction phase profits not only from having a new model home, but also of the almost 40 ready privately owned homes. All 40 houses are different and built to the individual owners specifications. Therefore we can unarguably speak of 40 model homes. The chalets built in the third phase have some very special features: bar, lounge and sport shop within walking distance!

FANTASTIC VIEWS!

All chalets have unobstructed views and some of them are built overhanging like an eagles nest from the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern. Unobstructed view of the royal blue sky, the shining white mountain tops and the deep green meadows and trees.

PROJECT ON TRACK!

The same intensity and energy we started this project with, will be used to enter the last construction phase.

With quite the confidence from previous performances:

• 30 chalets on the 20th of December are furnished and inhabited.

• 5 chalets are partially finished and are ready to be sold. Future owners can still decide the layout or make other changes.

• 17 chalets are being built and plans for another 19 chalets for future buyers will start in the very near future.

Families, rookies and returning skiers have already discovered the Wildkogel-Arena, the perfect ski area in the region of the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern. 75 kilometers of guaranteed snow slopes consisting of 85% blue and red rated slopes are ideal for families, rookies and returning skiers. Ascending with the Wildkogelbaan at Neukirchen or the Smaragdbaan at Bramberg you reach an altitude of 2.100 meter. Last season the new „Ganzer X-press“ was put into operation The „Ganzer X-press” is a cabin lift that seats 10 people at the same time. 80 percent of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow when necessary. This means snow security from Christmas till Easter. For the diehard skier starts, from 26th of December, every Wednesday the „Wildkogel is looking for a Movie-Star“ challenge with post ski party’s and an award ceremony. Furthermore is there a possibility for small and big stars skiers to have their ski performance filmed by a special camera and analyzed in the Racer’s Corner of the Mountain.

SLED ON THE WORLD’S LONGEST FLOODLIT TOBOGGAN RUN!

There are almost no words to describe the Wildkogel-Arena, partially because the longest floodlit toboggan run is found here. You will cover an incredible 1300 meters on a 14 kilometre long ride, straight down into the Bramberg valley. The run is suited for all kinds of daredevils who can slide down till 10 o’clock at night at the fully floodlit run. The toboggan run starts at the top of the Smaragd lift or the Wildkogel lift at Neukirchen. The Smaragd lift is open on Tuesday and Friday till 6.30pm.

SAUNA INCLUDED

A relaxing visit to your own sauna is an everyday possibility for chalet owners. After a busy day of skiing or a long winter hike you can enjoy the comfort of your own sauna. The sauna, in its basic version measures 4 meter²and accommodates 4 people and is included in the chalet price. Personal wishes can be met easily at almost no additional costs. Our saunas are made by the Klafs company, market leader in the wellness and spa branch.

VANILLA KIPFERL

In this new section of your newsletter we would like to hand you some tips for furnishing your chalet. These tips will certainly enhance the quality of your living enjoyment. Some of them can be rated as essential, others are the proverbial dots on the “i“.

NIGHTSTAND:

The nightstands in your bedroom can be best mounted at the wall and therefore leaving the space under it. The floor can be easily cleaned this way. With the changing of the chalets this saves a lot of time for our cleaning staff and also offers the best cleaning result.

BATHROOM ENSUITE:

When bed and bathroom are attached, we call this a bathroom ensuite. Important when planning the bathroom is to use a specialist. Only he can advise you on things like maintenance-free insulation and the correct amount of air circulation.

During the process of buying and delivery of our new chalet we got great advice. We never felt that we were on our own. Since we both live busy lives it was necessary for us that our trips to Neukirchen could be planned in a flexible way, taking into account our own schedule. TRACKING ANIMALSWITH CHILDRENIN THE SNOW

Our chalet village is located right in the hart of nature’s best. Meadows and forest right at your front doorstep. When the snow is still fresh, a short hike can reveal several animal tracks. This animal tracking is great fun for young and old. When you know what to look for in a book and are able to identify the tracks, it is almost like school but much more fun!

Take for example the fox: the footprint while walking at an easy pace is very outspoken. He places his footprints exactly in the same place using his front and back feet. By doing so his footprint starts to look like a pearl necklace.

And what better than to bake the typical Austrian vanilla “kipferl” on a baking afternoon.

ADVENT NEUKIRCHEN 07.12. - 09.12.2018An enchanting Advent market awaits you. This fairy tail-like market starts at the new ice skating ring in the center all along the Marketstreet. Christmas delicacies, hand-crafted traditional products, healthy and not so healthy (but delicious) snacks, and small gifts. You also find a broad variety of products from the shop keepers from Neukirchen with pretty dressed shop windows. Or enjoy the excessive culinary food prepared by the Hotel owners of Neukirchen.

PREPARATION

Blend and knead the flower, powdered sugar and butter until you have a smooth dough. Mix the walnuts, put it in plastic foam and refrigerate for about 30 minutes. Make small balls from the dough and turn them into small cookies in the shape of a kipferl (shape of a croissant). Place them on a baking tin use butter or baking paper to cover the bottom. Place the tin in the preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius and bake them for approximately ten minutes. While still warm wallow them through the vanilla sugar and you are done!

Tip: Baking these cookies is very suitable for children. Not only do they like the kind of cookies, is also very rewarding helping making them.

INGREDIENTS (2 baking tins):

160 g butter (room temperature), 50 g powdered sugar, 70 g grounded walnuts, 220 g flour and 3 tablespoons vanilla sugar.
