Nativity Mausoleum Update Our sales campaign is underway for the construction of new mausoleum crypts at Nativity of Our Lady. The new mausoleum is probably 1 year away from completion, therefore, the small number of unsold crypts that we have in current inventory will be re-served for temporary placement for caskets of fami-lies who have bought in the new mausoleum and are awaiting completion of the new facilities. We want-ed to make this information known so that you can plan accordingly for your family’s burial needs. If you would like to speak to a salesman from the Ac-me Mausoleum company, please call the church of-fice for their contact information.

REFLECTIONS – Second Sunday of Lent - Living a Gospel life is not easy and it does not mean that everything will go your way. We have been called to be holy - to follow Jesus’ example. At times, it can seem to be an impossible goal. However, God’s grace is with us and all we have to do is to accept this grace and keep trying each day. Our focus cannot be on grasping perfection, but on being faithful to the struggle and trusting that with God’s grace we will become a little more like Jesus each day.

“Our soul waits for the Lord, who is our help and our shield.” - Psalm 33:20

Retrouvaille has a weekend coming up soon, May 26th, 27th, and 28th in Lafayette, Louisiana. Retrouvaille is a ministry for couples in troubled marriages. Retrouvaille is French for rediscovery or reawakening. You may be more familiar with marriage encounter, which is intended to enrich good, stable marriages. Retrouvaille is more like a lifeline for troubled or broken marriages and hurt-ing couples. It is for married couples who are anxious about their marriage, alone or distant from their partner, disillusioned or bored in their marriage, or who are expe-riencing coldness or conflict. The weekends involve in-tensive work on communication skills and provide the foundation for the forgiveness and trust essential for re-building broken marriages. The six post-sessions frame up the concepts and provide practical solutions such as a method to resolve conflicts in a way that avoids the hurts of the past. Retrouvaille is a catholic ministry that is supported by Bishop Deshotel and the Family Life Office of the Dio-cese of Lafayette. Retrouvaille encourages individual and spiritual growth and the ultimate goal is to reinstall in hurting couples the joy and satisfaction of sacramental marriage. For more information or to register for the weekend, please contact 337-873-3981 or visit our website at www.HelpOurMarriage.com

Because our church bulletin is printed out of state, all Mass intentions and announcements should be submit-ted to the office at least two weeks prior to the request-ed bulletin date. Thank you.

Spreading the Gospel couldn’t hap-pen without your support!

What is a Deacon? What does he do? Am I being called?

The Office of Permanent Diaconate is currently pre-interviewing men for the Inquiry Phase of the Diaco-nate Formation Program. If you are involved in our parish and are feeling the need to serve more, contact Fr. Mario at the parish office and make an appoint-ment to talk to him about this possible calling.
