a ll the participants of the NATO Tiger Meet 2011 met on Thursday, May 19th 2011 in the afternoon on the taxiway

of the airbase for a ceremony symbolizing the end of the exer-cise. The flags from the seventeen participating nations to the event were all lowered at the same time, while the Marseillaise was being played. Much emotion was felt during this ceremony clo-sing the last Tiger Meet on Cambrai airbase. What a long way since the first exercise in 1964 in France!

T he closing curtain of the Nato Tiger Meet 2011 was drawn on Thursday May 19th 2011. During the exercise closing eve-

ning, several trophies were awarded to the participants who dis-tinguished themselves. The winning squadrons in each category were nominated after the voting from each unit. The Silver Tiger – the utmost award - was won by the 301 Squadron from Portu-gal. It recognizes the great spirit of this team during the whole exercise. Cambrai Airbase received the special Tiger Spirit award, another important trophy.
