Did You Know? The scarab beetle became
an important symbol of creation, resurrection, and everlasting life in the religious mythology of ancient Egypt. Small jars and coffins containing dried (mummified) scarabs were often placed in Egyptian tombs as part of their ancient funeral rites to ensure eternal resurrection.

Part 2Photography Assignment
•what is something in nature that you would like to have represent you? •take a look around your yard, your parks, and/or anywhere you can find something in nature•take several pictures of what you find from all angles - if possible, try the macro setting on your camera (usually shaped like a tulip on the camera settings) for an up-close shot, if this pertains to you - remember, you want your audience to "feel" why you think this is what represents you, so you need to be very thoughtful with your picture taking; try the rule of thirds, too•upload at least 6 of your pictures to your "My Pictures" folder - again, try to include different angles
