Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to perform as a surface rescue swimmer, including

physical conditioning, swimming skills, aircraft egress rescue swimmer equipment, day or night escapes, and

rescue from parachute water entry, and perform practical first aid and lifesaving in accordance with current

American Red Cross standards.

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to perform the aviation aircrew duties which are related

to anti-submarine operations and surface ship plotting; perform in both an active and passive radar

environment; operate and interpret sonobuoy results.

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to survive in hostile environments by being combat

ready; knowing historical and current codes of conduct; maintaining psychological health under adverse

circumstances; using survival medicines and survival equipment; and performing evasion, signaling, self-

recovery, and navigation techniques.
