Monona Terrace is located on the beautiful shore of Lake Monona in downtown Madison, two blocks from the State Capitol building. Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center was designed by Wisconsin native and internationally-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1938 as a cultural, governmental, and recreational building. RafflesAmerican Data will be offering several raffles

this year. Your facility will automatically be entered into a raffle for eight hours of setup time once you register, and each participant from your facility counts as another raffle entry. We also will award a stylish FitBit activity tracker through a raffle of attendees who complete and submit a testimonial before or during the convention. You must be present to win! The raffles will be drawn during the final session Thursday morning.

CEUsAmerican Data is offering CEU credits/

contact hours for attending Clinical sessions at the convention.

In order to receive credit, you must attend the duration of each session, have your ID badge scanned at each session, and complete the required evaluations.

This educational offering has been reviewed by the National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and approved for 5.75 clock hours and 5.75 participant hours.

This program has been approved for 6 continuing education unit(s) for use in fulfilling the continuing education requirements of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Granting prior approval from AHIMA does not constitute endorsement of the program content or its program sponsor.

American Data has also submitted for the approval from the Wisconsin Nurses Association (WNA) Continuing Education Approval Program (CEAP) of 5.6 contact hours. The WNA is an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. We will keep you informed of the progress of our application.

This year, we are offering the latest and greatest of ECS and related healthcare technology in our interactive Sector 10 throughout the entire convention. Convention Welcome & Overview: This session will provide an overview of the topics that will be covered in the various tracks during the convention, introduce staff, and review objectives and important information for the convention.

Creating Connections: Do you ever wish you could pick another ECS user’s brain? Now is your chance to meet and greet with ECS users and American Data staff during great icebreakers.

ECS10-The Future of ECS: American Data’s Program Development Team will introduce you to our revolutionary new solution, ECS10. Clinical : Leading the Way: Reports for Today,

Reports for Tomorrow: CEU This Clinical session will help you understand the documentation principles that drive reporting capability and how the structure of a clinical note impacts report design. We will also review common Report Maker mistakes and how to fix them, as well as discuss the benefits of ECS’s design in the ever-changing healthcare environment because of its ability to pull data into many different reports, which can be modified as needed for shifting industry standards.

Fast Track to Form Maker: CEU By the end of this session, we will have built a complete assessment in Form Maker and discussed the way different types of fields collect data.

Expand Your Quality Improvement Toolbox: CEU Follow the Quality Improvement process from assessment through analysis and learn to use ECS implementation tools to improve the QAPI process at your facility.

Prescription Auto-Pilot: Physician Orders: CEU Every time an order is written, edited, or administered, there is potential for error. This session explores where mistakes can occur, how to minimize your risk, and how to track your progress. We will review each part of the medication management process and discuss how to maximize safety. This will include the following features: Medi-span alerts, standing orders, order-writing templates, bar code scanning, eScript, electronic co-sign, and “held” entries.

Graphing and Re-Hospitalization: CEU Take your graphs to the next level when you learn about new graphs and INTERACT tools that will change the way you view your data. Convention Check-InA check-in will be provided on Monday night

July 13th from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. in the Hilton Hotel lobby. Regular check-in times will be held Tuesday and Wednesday morning at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in the Capitol Promenade from 8-9 a.m.

DressCasual attire is the order of the day and night

for the entire ECS User Convention. Dress in layers to make sure you are comfortable – no matter what the temperature.

Convention name badges are part of this dress code; please remember to wear them for the entire convention. For safety reasons, do not wear name badges when touring.
