It specialized in selling the idea that the Jews were the worst enemy of the Germans, with the slogan "Die Juden sind unser Ungluck" (The Jews are our

misfortune). It was advertised with displays on the street which attracted a lot of attention.

Like other Nazi propaganda its style was simple and repetitive. One of its most popular features were the

regular anti-Semitic cartoons of  Philip Rupprecht. Jews were portrayed with huge hooked noses,

bulging eyes, large ears, swollen lips, unshaven beards, long hairy arms and hands, and short

crooked legs. The dominant characteristics were swindling and sexual perversion.

The headlines say "Jews are our misfortune" and "How the Jew cheats." Germany, 1936.

When the Nazis began to wage war against the Jews, they used rhetoric and propaganda at

first, then followed by action.

• On November 8, 1937 a propaganda exhibit entitled Der Ewige Jude (The Wandering Jew) opened which portrayed Jews as communists, swindlers and sex-fiends.

• Over 150,000 people attended the exhibit in just 3 days.

• Jews were frequently associated with communists and thieves.

• The Wandering Jew later became a notorious hate film, and associated the Jews with rats and other vermin.

…from an anti-semitic children's book - the sign reads "Jews are not wanted here"

Notice the physical portrayal of the Jewish man. He is presented as dirty, unkempt and slovenly. He appears to be a nuisance- beggar-like, and has exaggerated features. Notice, also how he is juxtaposed against the woman who appears to be of high class. This further intensifies his repulsive qualities. He is an all around disgusting being, in the eyes of the Nazis.

German propaganda

antisemitic poster, written in polish language. Says:

"JEWS-SUCKING LOUSE-TYPHUS",

occupied Poland

This poster was designed to

dehumanize the Jews who were posed in

distorted, humiliating and disgusting positions. Also

attempting to give the impression that the Jews were different, less human and pure

and not as good as the German people.

Shows a Jewish cartoon character consuming a Russian, American, and English characterization.

Attempted to demonstrate that the increased

hostilities occurring in Europe was due to the

Jews who were essentially responsible for controlling

allied policies. Nazi propaganda was designed to intimate that the Jews

were responsible for WWII as well as the woes of the

world that plagued humanity during this most

difficult of times.

This is a rare anti-Jewish propaganda stamp issued during WWII and the German occupation of Belgium, by an affiliate of the Rexist Party (Parti Rexiste), the Belgian fascist political party officially called Christus Rex. The stamp reads in French “Dehors Les Juifs!” ([kick] out the Jews!) in Flemish “De Joden Buiten!” ([kick] out the Jews!). The stamp bears a fascist organization symbol.
