NBBA is the largest club basketball program in
California and the top youth basketball program in the
North Bay area.
We are committed to providing quality instruction in all
aspects of the sport, with an emphasis on fundamentals
and skill development.
Our goal is to give our athletes the necessary skills to
perform successfully in basketball and life with an
emphasis on . . .
• sportsmanship
• respect
• responsibility
• leadership
• teamwork

In conjunction with the Fairfield Ballers, we are
increasing access to high-level coaching and
instruction among underserved communities.
Our training facility in San Rafael provides a venue
for training young men and women in a small group
and personalized form.
We invite your brand to align with the leading
youth basketball program in the North Bay Area
and to support us on our mission.

NBBA was founded in 2010 by Rick Winter, longtime
head coach at Marin Catholic High School.
Rick sought and received the endorsement and support
from all 10 Marin County HS varsity coaches. Additionally,
former college player Michael Turner and local coach Doug
Donnellan helped to form the nucleus of what is now a
model youth sports program.
NBBA was replicated in Miami by Heat coach Erik Spoelstra
under the leadership of Rick and his son, Brock Winter.
Additionally, the NBBA model has been replicated in
Newport Beach, Long Beach and Jacksonville.

NBBA rents and utilizes dozens of public and private
venues throughout the North Bay, contributing
to the overhead of these facilities.
The organization’s long time desire to open its own
training facility came to fruition in December 2015 in
San Rafael’s warehouse district.
Opportunities now exist to have brands integrated into
the facility as well as all other elements of the program,
including tourneys and other venues.
6
NBBA produces 7 travel team annual tournaments as
well as 3 HS summer league tournaments. In
conjunction with our nonprofit, the Fairfield Ballers, NBBA
runs the NBBA / Fairfield Ballers Fall League. In total over
1,400 teams and 14,000 players participating.
Approximately 20,000 people attend the tourneys, played at
gyms throughout Marin, Napa, Sonoma and Solano
counties, drawing teams from throughout the state of
California and Nevada.
NBBA participates in tourneys throughout the state of
California, as well as outside of the state in Oregon, Nevada,
and Pennsylvania.

NBBA produces a monthly newsletter emailed to
12,500 unique, active addresses.
Our website (northbaybasketballacademy.com) is visited
by an average of 6,300 visitors with over 16,800
pageviews per month.
We are able to send e-blasts to announce
newsworthy developments and new partnerships.

In 2014, NBBA partnered with the Fairfield Ballers, a
nonprofit with the mission of increasing access
to high-level coaching and basketball instruction to
underserved families. We can now accept funds from
foundations as charitable donations.
In 2018, NBBA provided over $125,000 in scholarship
funds—we never turn away a player due to financial
hardship.
It is our intent to increase that amount with the help of
our partners, increasing access to this great game for all
kids, no matter their social or economic situation.

We are seeking new community partners
to help grow our program and to support
the proliferation of the game of basketball
among the youth of the North Bay.
These partners can be integrated into our full range of
activities with focused activities in targeted markets and in
select age ranges.
The following benefits are provided in the packages
described in the matrix that follows—and, of course, we
are happy to customize as desired.
10
The NBBA training facility in San Rafael is a hub of activity with
on-going small group, individual and strength / speed training
with players of all levels.
NBBA sponsors will have the opportunity to receive high-
profile signage in our facility with large 4x6 foot signs to be
placed along the wall in the basketball court and a wall of 2x3
foot community partner signs placed on a prominent wall in the
strength / speed center.
Signs are visible for all NBBA players, families and
visitors including clients of high-performance fitness
trainers and independent basketball coaches.
Larger signs are very limited so please act fast if this is an
important benefit!

NBBA runs 7 major travel team tournaments along with a 5-
week Fall League and 3 HS Summer Shootouts —sponsors may
be integrated within each through banners, website and
e-blasts, product use and logo’d apparel.
Tourneys use gym facilities throughout the region,
often dozens at a time—sponsors will saturate market
for weekend.
We seek lead sponsors for each tournament and overarching category
sponsors for the tournament series as a whole.
