The Process
Send Letter of Intent to Seek NCATE Accreditation to become a precandidate
Submit Preconditions at least 2 years before the visit to become a candidate
Submit Program Reports for National Review 18-24 months before the visit on Mar 15 or Sept 15
Write the Institutional Report (IR) Host the Onsite Visit

Precondition 4 reviewed by ARPA; other preconditions reviewed by staff

Offsite Review
Offsite BOE Team electronically reviews the following & prepares feedback report for unit:
• Institutional report
• Annual reports
• Title II data
• Program reviews by SPAs or states
• Exhibits related to standards
Feedback Report by Offsite BOE Team
1. Statement about the evidence• What case does the evidence make that standards
continue to be met?
2. Comments on unit’s progress toward meeting target level
3. Feedback on correcting previous AFIs
4. List of areas of concern with rationale
5. List of evidence for the Onsite BOE Team to validate during the onsite visit
