Plantation by NCC Cadets

On 01.08.2014 & 15.09.2014, Plantation Program was organized by NCC 7CG Battalion Bilaspur (CG) at

E.Raghvendera Science College Bilaspur(CG), where 25 NCC Cadets of our College participated.

Many Social and Political Workers along with the College Principal and teachers were present. They stressed on the

importance of the Environmental Protection and Plantation.

Voter Awareness Rally

On 16.08.2014 - Voter Awareness Rally was organized by NCC 7 CG Battalion Bilaspur (CG). 40 Students

participated in the Rally which started from Police Ground heading towards Brihaspati Chowk, Nehru Chowk and

ended at Police Ground.

Plantation by cadets

To keep the campus and Environment Clean and Green every year Plantation is done by the NSS cadets. In this

series, on 26th July 2014, approx 300 saplings have been planted in the campus by approx. 50 NSS cadets of

the NSS Unit 1 & 2. Senior Professors of the college Dr. Kiran Vajpayee and Dr. Madhuri Nanda and many

others along with the NSS officer Dr. Manju Madhuri Bajpayi actively participate in the activity. The Plantation

programme has been done with the help of the Forest Department of Bilaspur Zone. The Forest department

provided the saplings to be planted. After the plantation our cades also take care of the plants whole year and

regularly water them. A rally has also been organized by the cadets in the adopted village Pand to make the

villagers aware of plantations.

Harihar chhattisgarh

Students participating in One day camp “Harihar Chhattisgarh” in ERR Science PG College Bilaspur. It was a

program were all school and college NSS units participated with greater goal to make city green on 3 August 2014

To make Chhattisgarh State Green, honorable Chief Minister, Dr Raman Singh directed to plant more and more

trees under “Harihar Chhattisgarh” Plantation Programme 2014.

As per the letter dated 20.06.2014 by the Department of Higher Education Chhattisgarh State, Additional Director

(Regional) and Principal Dr. J.P. Sheohare directed a programme which was followed by the girls of Govt. Bilasa

Girl’s PG College and they all planted trees in Govt E. Raghvendra Rao Science College, Bilaspur.

Chief Guest was honorable Minister Shri Amar Agrawal and Mr. Collector also accompanied the programme in

presence of the college faculties, staffs and students etc.

Debate and essay competition

Debate and Essay competition on Sadbhawna diwas on 20 August 2014 and speech competition on 31 October 2014organized by NSS unit 1 & 2 collaboration with SVEEP (Subject – National integration and Role of Voters) SVEEP- Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation” programme. The motto of this programme is “Greater Participation for a Stronger Democracy”. SVEEP is the flagship programme of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India. 50 studenta have participated in the programme.

Voter awareness rally

Voter awarness rally on 16 October 2014 organized by NSS unit 1 & 2 at gram Pand & Bilaspur.

The NSS Unit of the college has organized Regular Activities of the NSS in the adopted village Pand, The

Takhatpur, Distt. Bilaspur. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of india and the Distt. Election Officer

Bilaspur Voter Awareness Rally has been organized under the Voter Awareness Rally. With the help of slogans and

Pamphlets, Banners and Posters villagers were taught about the importance of casting votes without any threat and

temptations. Casting vote is not only their rights but also duty. The whole task has been performed under the

guidance of the Principal Dr. J.P.Sheohare and NSS Officer Dr. M.M. Bajpai. Sarpanch of the village Pand and all

the villagers contributed to the successful organization of the programme.

Run for unity

Run for unity on 31 October 2014 organized by NSS unit 1 & 2 in collaboration with SVEEP

Under the guidance of Principal Dr J.P Sheohare (UGC Central Additional Director Office Bhopal letter No F1-

30/UGC/RO/RO/2014-2015) on the birthday of Sir Vallabh Bhai Patel was held imparting a message of Unity,

Security and Integrity. On 31st October 2014 National Integrity Day was celebrated by taking out rallies and our

Principal J.P. Sheohare gave a green signal. A committee of the following members was organized. Dr Sharda

Kashyap, Dr D. Meshram, Dr R Shukla, Dr Shashi Gupta, Dr Manju Madhuri Bajpai, Dr Usha Singh conducted the

rally and the Programme was successfully done.

By the orders of Election Commision Delhi sent the order to Collector (Election) Bilaspur and according to order a

Rally of Voter Awareness was formed. Sweep Officer Dr D.D Meshram, Dr M.M Bajpai led the rally. The College

Professors and other Staff were present.

Competition on youth week

Speech, Debate competition was organised by NSS unit 1 & 2 on 31st October 2015 in collaboration with SVEEP

The N.S.S unit of Govt. Bilasa Girls PG College organized Debate and Speech Competiton on 31st October 2015

under the guidance of Principal J.P. Sheohare. Vide Order of Additional Director Bhopal letter no- NOF

1.30/UGC.CRO/RO/2014-2015 Date 25.10.2015. This order said that all these programmes had to be conducted on

the birthday of Sir Vallabh Bhai Patel. So on 31.10.15 with the message of secularism and security, Debate and

Speech Competitions were organized.Topic of debate was “Role of Young Generation in National Integrity and

Security”.

In favour of debate- The First Prize Winner was Dhruti Shrivastav (B.A II), Second Prize went to Tillotama Kharra

(B.A I) and Third Prize went to Kiran Lata Dubey (BSc PartI).

In against of debate- The First Prize Winner was Ku Sunita Rajput (B.A I), Second Prize went to Ku Chitralekha

Khare (BSc I), and Third Prize went to Ku Aparna.

Dr Sushma Ghai, Dr Manju Bannerjee were the judges of the Programme. The Programme was organized by the

course coordinators Dr M.M Bajpai and Dr Usha Singh.

CompetitionS on Koumi ekta

Rally and Competition on Koumi ekta on 20 November 2014 organized by NSS unit 1 & 2 collaboration with SVEEP

On 20th November 2014 - Govt Bilasa Girls PG College under the banner of N.S.S celebrated the Koumi ekta

“Saptah”. In this Programme Rallies were taken out for the awareness of people. Essay and Debate Competitions

were organized where Ku Dhruti Shrivastav, Ku Tilottama Khara, Ku Akanksha Tripathi, Ku Megha Kesharvani, Ku

Sanjeeda Khan and other hundred students participated.

The topic for Debate was “Communal Harmony will promote development” and the topic for Essay was “Secularism

in India and Language Harmony”.

The programme was organized by Dr M.M Bajpai and Dr Usha Singh, The Course Coordinators of N.S.S.

Dr Ambuj Pandey, Dr Archana Singh, Dr R.S Luka, Dr K. Dhabadkar, Dr Madhulika Sinha, Dr Asha Kabir were the

judges of the competition. The Chief Guest of the Programme was Principal J.P. Sheohare who addressed the

audience.

One day workshop

“Human Right Day” is observed every year. Let’s stand up for equality, justice and human dignity. The day is

marked by cultural events and exhibitions dealing with human rights issues. One day Workshop on the occasion of

“Human Right Day” organised by J&K forum New Delhi and ABV University on 12.11.2014 with NSS Unit 1 & 2.

This programme was held in the University. Honourable Vice Chancellor, Dr. Brajesh Singh, Member of J&K Forum,

Principal Dr. S.R. Kamlesh and NSS officers of all the colleges of Bilaspur District were present to grace the

occasion. Dr. Brajesh Singh delivered a lecture on the human rights issues of Jammu and Kashmir people. 10

students from our college have participated in the programme and benefitted.

Awareness rally

2014-15

Motivational Rally and awareness programme on Polio Drop Abhiyan on 26 January 2015 was organised by NSS,

students motivated ladies to bring their wards to centres so that they can have polio drops. Thus future generation of

our nation will be healthy

To make the future of our children healthy and mentally fit, the NSS Units of our college oraganized Polio Drop

Abhiyan under the Health Awareness Regular Activities. In this programme the NSS cadets visit their nearby

villages and inform and motivate the villagers to bring their wards from 0 to 5 for the Polio Drops. Not only had this

but the cadets of NSS also extended their support to take the ladies with their children of their areas to the Polio

Booth and make it syre that no wards were left to get the benefits of this Abhiyan.

Yoga training

2014-15

Yoga training by Dr. B. K. Soni on 22 February 2015 organized by NSS unit 1 & 2 students of the college and hostel

participated in it.

Under the banner of NSS a Yoga Training Programme has been organized in the Hostel premises to make the

students aware of health through Yoga. They have been taught that a helthy mind resides in a healthy body. They

are motivated to practice Yoga daily at their homes. The training has been given by Dr. B.K.Soni, Professor of

Physics. Dr. J.P.Sheohare, Principal also motivated the students. The training programme was conducted by Dr.

M.M.Bajpai and organized by Dr. R.S. Luka. Sonti Patel, Jyoti Kushwaha, Munni Vaishnav, Nisha Bhagat, Kavita

and many other students have participated and benefitted by the programme.
