JOB DESCRIPTION

This role reports to the Safety Leader and is responsible for providing field support to our committed leaders on NCIG’s safety framework.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Provide on-site contact and support for team leaders and managers to manage their H&S responsibilities, particularly on major works, shutdowns and projects

• Ensure site safety inspections and audits are completed as per schedule • Undertake HSEC interactions to ensure that unsafe work and risks are identified and addressed by leaders • Carry out drills and exercises for emergency situations • Work with leaders to provide support and advice on fire prevention, machine guarding, hazardous material, working at

heights, confined space and other high-risk activities to NCIG’s operations • Through an onsite presence, support the implementation and ensure compliance by leaders to the site H&S systems • Participate in the delivery and coordination of training, onboarding, and inductions • Work with our contract workforce to ensure a consistent application of our safety systems across the site.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:

• Tertiary qualifications in H&S (eg H&S Certificate IV) or other related discipline or substantial experience in a similar role

• Experience in an industrial environment or heavy industry • Trade or technical background • Excellent working knowledge of H&S regulations and standards relevant to NCIG’s operational activities (Confined

Space, Working at Heights, rigging, welding, isolation) and other high-risk activities • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence safe work practices • Excellent working knowledge of MS office including accurate data entry skills We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work and the ability to work across all echelons of the business.
