Itinerary
Day 1, Tue. Nov.14
Arrive NY, JFK International Airport no later than Tuesday
morning Nov. 14th from your home airport. Group flight
with Egyptair #MS986 departure 18:30 (6:30pm) non stop
to Cairo, Egypt. Allow at least three hours of time in New
York, JFK to collect luggage and arrive to Terminal 4. Egypt
Air Check-in desk closes at 3:00pm. (D)
Day 2, Wed. Nov.15
Arrive at Cairo International airport. Our journey begins!
Meet and greet, visa assistance, then transfer to the Fair-
mont Heliopolis Hotel with time to settle in before our
Evening Orientation meeting. (B, L)
Overnight Cairo.
Day3 Thu. Nov.16
Buffet breakfast. Morning visit to the Egyptian Museum of
Antiquities that houses the treasures found at sites we will
visit in days to come, including the treasures of Tutankha-
men! Time to relax at the hotel before our evening wel-
come dinner.

Day 4, Fri. Nov.17
Buffet breakfast. Check-out and transfer to
the Cairo Airport for our flight to the beauti-
ful islands of Aswan. Check-in to the cruise
ship M/S Movenpick Royal Lily, our home for the next
three nights. Afternoon visit to the Island of Philae, the
temple of Isis. This evening the Captain welcomes us with a
Cocktail Party, buffet dinner and evening entertainment.

Day 5, Sat. Nov.18
Buffet breakfast, The M/S Royal Lily sets
sail early morning, cruising the beautiful
Nile towards the ancient healing center
of Kom Ombo, a temple dedicated to the Crocodile God
Sobek and Falcon God Horus. Buffet Lunch on board while
Sailing to Edfu Temple. Afternoon visit to the Temple of
Horus at Edfu. Buffet dinner on board followed by the
evening Galabia Party in the lounge.

Day 6, Sun. Nov.19
Buffet breakfast. Morning sail through
the Esna locks having time to relax,
schedule a message, or sunbathe before
arriving in the city of Luxor. The city of
Luxor, known as Thebes in ancient times, honors the triad
of mother, father, and son (Amoun-re, Mut and Khonsu).
Buffet Dinner and evening belly dancing show in the
lounge.

Day 7, Mon. Nov.20
Buffet breakfast. Check-out of cruiser.
Then transfer and check-in to the Sones-
ta St. George Hotel located on the banks
of the Nile River. Today we travel by bus
to the west bank of the Nile. We will visit the Valley of the
Kings with its many subterranean tombs, and the Mortuary
Temple of Hatshepsut (the female Pharaoh). Free evening
to relax with lunch and dinner on our own at the hotel.

Day 8, Tue. Nov.21
Buffet breakfast. Today we visit the tem-
ples on the east bank of the Nile, with a
morning visit to Karnack Temple, the larg-
est temple in Egypt! This temple is dedicated to the Ram
God Amoun, who represents the many manifestations of
the setting sun. We will return to the hotel, have lunch on
your own, then have an afternoon tour of the Luxor Tem-
ple a temple dedicated to the Goddess Mut and Amoun
and their unification as king and Queen.

Day 9, Wed. Nov.22
Buffet breakfast. This is a very special day touring the tem-
ples of Dendera and Abydos. Early departure by coach
driving by majestic mountains and cultivated fields. There
is a real since of what ancient Egypt must have been like
in this setting. The Dendera Temple is dedicated to Hathor
the goddess of motherhood, dancing and song. The astro-
nomical ceilings at Dendera makes this the most beautiful
temple in Egypt. Abydos is both very ancient and enig-
matic, this is the temple of and resting place for Osiris.

Day 10, Thu. Nov.23
Buffet breakfast. Check-out. Transfer to the Luxor Airport
for our flight back to Cairo. Transfer and Check-in to the
historical Mena House Hotel at the foot of the Great Pyra-
mids! Free time to relax, swim or eat by the pool. Evening
gathering.

Day 11, Fri. Nov.24
Buffet breakfast. Full day of the Giza
Plateau, the highlight of our travels!
The energy rises today as we will be
visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza and
the Great Sphinx. Our travel group will have the opportuni-
ty to have a two hour private session inside of the great
pyramid with special permission from authorities!

Day 12, Sat. Nov25
Buffet breakfast. In the morning we drive through the pyr-
amid fields on our way to tour the Step Pyramid of Sakkara
and Step Pyramid Museum. We will stop by the rug factory
to observe the local cultural experience of rug weaving, or
visit the cotton market depending on group preference.

Buffet breakfast. Transfer to Cairo International Airport for
