Team Carper Captures TaylorMade Vegas Classic
Henderson, Nevada-Alex Carper, Assistant Professional at Hid-den Valley G.C., led his team to the team title of the Taylor-Made Vegas Classic at Rio Secco Golf Club. It truly was a team performance as each member contrib-uted on the final day to protect their over-night lead and to pre-vail as champions by five points. The
champion team consisted of Alex Carper, Steve Carper, Jeff Barclay, Bill Salisbury and Andrew Maasdam.
The professional division came down to the last day but Shane Zywiec, PGA was able to fight off the stiff competition and post 36 points to bring his tournament total to 111 points, which was good enough for a one shot victory over Chad Lydiatt, PGA. Lydiatt started the day one point back but could not find a way to squeeze out one more point in his final round.
The professional round of the day went to Brett Evans, PGA, General Manager at Awarii Dunes, who had a bogey free 69 to card 39 points and jump into third place alone. The Nebraska PGA would like to thank Tod Puetz of TaylorMade Golf for his support of this year’s event. The Nebraska PGA would also like to thank the staff at Rio Secco Golf Club and all 80 players who participated in this year’s event.

Nebraska Spring Meeting Highlights
Special Guests: Ginger Gilbert-Ravella – Folds of Honor Ginger Gilbert-Ravella with the Folds of Honor was one of our special guests and brought an inspiring message of how the Folds of Honor program has touched her family with scholarships for her children and helped bring her through a very diffi-cult time dealing with the loss of her late husband. Ginger’s message expressed the importance of participation at the Section level in Patriot Golf Day 2013. Sandy Cross – Director of Women’s and New Marketing Initiatives for the PGA of America Sandy hit home the message of “Connecting with Her” and the importance of get-ting to know what motivates women and ways to get more women excited about participating in the game of golf. Sandy was also on site for the afternoon educa-tion seminar where she discussed parts of the “Connecting with Her Playbook.” If you have not received your copy of the playbook, please contact the Section office for a copy. with your members at your clubs and facilities. Lastly, you will be able to find the Omaha Steaks Hole-In

Below is an overview of how the program works and the Hole-In-One registration form.
Here’s how it works:
