Ned Davis in Westlake Village
I am writing to provide my endorsement for our current City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tern Ned Davis.
I feel I am qualified to provide such an endorsement as iny family has been in the Conejo Valley for nearly 60 years. Over that span of time, we have been privileged to have been served by many great people: Ned Davis represents the best in class as a public servi_mt.
I have· personally seen Ned participate in many meetings and gatherings to promote the City of Westlake Village. During these sessions, he provides
October 15, 201 s
clear and objective updates to citizens and community leaders.
Ned i,s quick to point out the city's benefits and amenities, which are second to none. However, Ned is also wise to recognize chaJlenges that our city faces.
He has foresight to see how our city can conti1me to maintain its enviable position among cities that are similar in size ..
We are in great hands under Ned's current guidance and leadership. I believe we will continue to see our city thrive and grow and be the pacesetter for others.
Vote for the incumbent, Ned Davis. Louie Valdez Westlake Village

J.D. Power moving from T.O. to Westl.ake Village
J.D. POWER . McGRAW HILL FINANCIAL
By Sylvie Belmond [email protected]
Westlake Village, a city of 8,300 residents on the western edge of L.A. County, is the headquarters for several large corporations, including Bank of America, Dole Food Co., Fanners Insurance and Guitar Center.
Add to that list the name of corporate research giarit J.D. Power, which · announced it is moving this·.year f'roin its headquarters on Townsgate Road in the Westlake portion of Thousand Oaks to Russell Ranch Road in Westlake Village.
Dave Powedll fowided the firm in Calabasas in 1968. The company was headquartered in Agoura Hills until 2002.
Although the Power family sold J.D. Power and Associates ·in 2005 to the McGraw Hill Companies, the influence and success of the enterprise is still attributed to it fowider.
Today, J.D. Power has a dozen offices around the globe, including Mexico, Thailand and Germany.
About 200 employees work at the Westlake office.
Company spokesperson John Tews said the firm is moving because the lease for the space on Towrisgate expires this year.
J.D. Power will be 111oving by the erid of the year into property previously occupied by Bank of America.
Ray Taylor, city manager of Westlake Village, said the change ilJ' tenants woo 't add to the city's revenue because -tlie move "represents one office user replacing another."
He said the city is "fortwiate indeed to have (J.D. Power) r!!locate to Westlake Village, and we welcome them to the community."
