  • 739 structures

    up to date … and a length of ~10 km installed

  • Standardised Structural Elements

    P C5

    Free Span Options

  • Enhancing Clear Width (Transport ?)

    Maintenance= “no brainer” / Inspection

    Practically maintenance-free structure

    over whole service life Structural Options: Raised Platform Broken-Line” Truss

    Durability (alloy 6082)

    Practically unlimited even in marine environment – absolutely no need for coating of structure, mainly for aesthetical purposes desired coating provides though additional protection esp. against graffiti. Practically maintenance-free structure over whole service life Durability in Practice documented examples

    a) Long Island Road Bridges, NY, USA b) Clive Road Bridge - Des Moines, IA, USA c) Bascule Bridge Scotland, Sunderland, UK, 1948 d) Clunie, Scotland. 1950 e) JAPAN - Ariake (1984), Tenkorin (1986), Kinkei (1961) - 20-year weathering tests, in urban – rural – industrial –marine environments

    44.20m - 6082 (AlMgSi1) – Ruhr – 1956 industrial pollution, remains in excellent state, hardly any maintenance costs, never necessary to apply any corrosion protection or repair

  • Doncaster Station Footbridge Connecting Platform 1 (Main Line) and Platform 0 (2015-2016)

  • Gillingham Station Footbridge (2014)

    Weight: bridge span 7.3 t / each trestle or staircase 2.2 t, practically only ½ that of structure in steel, rapid and easy erection, crane cost reduction. Coating: triple layer as in offshore applications with final anti-graffiti hard lacquer protection. Surfacing: anti-slip, noise dampening, frost+salt+UV-light resistant. Optimisation in design+manufacturing = equal acquisition cost as in steel. Practically no maintenance cost during service life.

    delivered and installed (STORY Contracting) September 2018

    GLÜCK is market leader in aluminium footbridges with over 700 structures in various countries. Special extrusions allow free spans to 60m. Durable anti-slip surfacing, offshore quality coating with anti-graffiti protection of structural parts fulfils aesthetic and technical requirements for pedestrians, cyclists, equestrians, and utility vehicles, over road, water and rail. Design, manufacturing, reliable delivery and on-site assistance with own technician team guarantee superior quality for maintenance-free, sustainable structures, at absolutely competitive acquisition prices. The footbridge at Gillingham Station (2014), a comprehensive project with cladding-glazing-roof in Doncaster Station and a bridge in Harrow (2015-2018) are projects in the UK, along with further bridges currently designed or negotiated.
