What a great bus trip! We arrived early for our Downton Abbey tour, so were able to tour the Carnegie Gallery to learn about the history of An-aheim. As for the Downton exhibit, the clothes were fascinating,
I hope everyone is looking forward to the Quilt, Craft and Sewing (aka Rusty Barn) show. Instead of the Del Mar Fair, we are concentrating our recruiting efforts at the show.
Your board is working on finding a great teacher for next spring. If you have any ideas, please let us know. We are here for you! This is your chapter!

Let's Make Fidget Quilts!

The quilts feature simple attached items like zippers, pockets, ties, ribbon, strings, buttons, snaps and clo-sures. Textures include minky, furry, stretchy,

stitching isn’t nec-essary. Just be sure the entire quilt is washable.
For ideas, do a quick Google search on “fidget quilts” and you’ll be rewarded with loads of suggestions. One particularly helpful website is www.patchworkposse.com/fidget-quilts/ with lots of pictures and simple tutorials. Even the “Comments” section has valuable information. Another great resource is Pinterest; again, search “fidget quilts.” So how about gathering friends together for a “Fidget Party” and see who can bring the most items to incorporate into these quilts! Meanwhile, contact a local memory care center, many of which are housed within assisted living facilities, or a center for people af-fected by autism, to arrange for donation of your finished projects.
