ONLINE SURVEY Q9Parking: Do you experience on-street parking challenges or have suggestions to improve parking availability? (180 responses)
Due to First Fridays, parking demand is increasing, and portions of Santa Fe Drive, Kalamath, Inca, Galapago, and Fox Streets south of 6th Avenue are being impacted.
Parking enforcement is critical in order for parking restrictions to be effective. Resident parking along Cherokee Street can be challenging since it is
unrestricted and experiences a lot of patron and employee parking demand. Parking along Bannock, Acoma, Cherokee, Elati, and Delaware Streets between
6th and 3rd Avenues can be very challenging, especially during the daytime. Two resident Baker Areas Permit perspectives emerged:
− It is very restrictive and inflexible, making it difficult to accommodate guests and service providers.
− It is an effective strategy and discourages patrons and employees from parking in the neighborhood
From a business perspective, the Baker Area Permit block faces area an inefficient use of existing on-street parking resources and are not supportive of employee and patron parking needs
ONLINE SURVEY Q10What recent transportation changes in your neighborhood have you found beneficial? (172 responses)
