Neil Betteridge
Neil Betteridge is Vice President, Strategy for Guidewire. He is responsible for shaping Guidewire’s strategic direction. Previously, Neil held the role of Guidewire’s Director of Product Marketing where he was instrumental in the marketing strategy, positioning, and direction of Guidewire’s product suite. Neil has over 20 years of professional experience with the last 13 years focused on marketing technology solutions in the insurance industry. Prior to Guidewire, Neil was with Skywire Software (now Oracle), as Vice President of Product
Management. Neil also served as Vice President of Marketing with InSystems. Earlier in his insurance industry carrier, Neil held a variety of marketing and technical positions at Castek. In addition to his professional experience, Neil holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from McGill University.

Dr. Rick Wakefield, JD, DC, PA Dr. Rick Wakefield JD, DC, PA is the President and Founder of International Healthcare Consultants, Inc., an Independent Review Organization and forensic consulting firm specializing in matters involving healthcare, insurance, science and law. For over 25 years he has been a lecturer, teacher, expert witness and consultant in the areas of medical billing and coding, fraud detection, injury causation, biomechanics
and human factors. During that period he has analyzed thousands of cases and conducted research concerning causation and human factors in minor to catastrophic injuries and fatalities, and is court qualified as a biomechanical engineer and injury causation expert. Dr. Wakefield has been a consultant to and/or provided training for many Federal, State and Local Government agencies. He has also been a consultant for State and local Law Enforcement. Dr. Wakefield has provided Continuing Legal Education courses in states around the country including being a CLE instructor State Bar of Georgia Insurance Law Institute. He is a member of the Medical Advisory Group and has provided training to industry groups including the International Association of Special Investigation Units, and New Jersey Special Investigators Association. Additionally he has provided training for and/or worked as a consultant to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, United States Secret Service, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Dr. Wakefield was an associate professor at Life University in the Clinical Sciences Division, Diagnosis Department. As a clinical instructor and adjunct faculty at the Yale and Emory programs, Dr. Wakefield taught surgical procedures, wound healing and surgical closure, operating room procedures, surgical patient assessment and surgical technique including instrument use.
Constance Woods
Constance Boaz Woods is Vice President – Legal for American Southern Insurance Company in Atlanta. Constance joined American Southern in February, 2013 after several years in private practice. In her role with American Southern, she oversees and monitors large loss claims, complex claims and claims in litigation. In addition, she litigates coverage issues on behalf of American Southern, reviews policy forms and endorsements and provides other legal advice and counsel to the
Company. Prior to joining American Southern, Constance was a Partner with Austin & Sparks, P.C. Her practice was primarily concentrated in the area of insurance coverage where she provided insurance companies with advice and opinions regarding various coverage issues related to commercial general liability, public liability, excess, commercial auto, personal auto and homeowners’ insurance policies. She also litigated insurance coverage issues on behalf of insurers and insureds. Constance is admitted to the Georgia Bar, the Northern District of Georgia, the Middle District of Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. Constance is a graduate of Girls' Preparatory School, Chattanooga, TN; East Stroudsburg University (B.S. 1992, Business Management, cum laude); Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh (MBA 1993); and Georgia State University College of Law (J.D. 2004, cum laude,). Prior to attending law school, Constance spent 12 years in the corporate sector as a Human Resources Manager and Director. Constance was born and raised on Signal Mountain outside of Chattanooga. She and her husband, Joe, reside in Duluth, GA. Constance is an avid golfer and devoted follower of Southeastern Conference Football.

Kari Williamson BS, RN, LNCC, CCM is the owner and principal of MKC Medical Management. MKC Medical Management was started 18 years ago by Kari in an effort to help insurance companies, Third Party Administrators, self-insured companies and attorneys better understand the medical records, medical information and billing statements within a claim file. Over the past 18 years the company has
grown in size, services, clients and geographic areas covered.
Kari has over 25 years of nursing experience. Clinical experiences include staff positions at level one trauma centers, city hospitals and community-based facilities. Acute setting experience includes extensive experience in intensive care, trauma, burns, orthopedics, neurosurgery, general / plastic surgery and rehabilitation services. Outside the hospital setting, Kari has been an independent case manager, pre-certification nurse, and Tennessee Cost Containment Specialist for USFG.
Kari is a graduate of Belmont University, Nashville, TN. She received dual degrees from Belmont- Bachelor of Science and Associate degree in Nursing. She holds an active Tennessee Nursing License. She has also endeavored to expand her knowledge and expertise by earning higher learning certifications throughout her career. These include Certified Insurance Rehabilitation Specialist, Legal Nurse Consultant- Certified, and Certified Case Manager.
Kari’s enthusiasm in helping others is also seen through her ongoing service to the local community by her participation in civic projects and the mentoring of children. She and her husband reside in Knoxville, TN and have 2 children.
Steven Sugg G. Steven Sugg is Senior Vice President of BrightClaim. He is responsible for Marketing and Brand Management and for BrightClaim Contents Services Group. Mr. Sugg was Director – Business Solutions Group for Crawford and Company. He created Crawford’s Contents Services Operations. He designed and implemented Specialized Contents Services for
over 50 insurance carrier clients and was also responsible for sales and marketing for Crawford Contents Services. Mr. Sugg was President of Total Research and Replacement, Inc. He was directly responsible for all operations for the $25M insurance contents services company. He managed the development of the industry’s first stand-alone contents research and replacement database. He developed 50-plus clients and maintained relationships with 100-pluss suppliers. Mr. Sugg is a graduate of Oglethorpe University and Harvard University. He has completed the Dale Carnegie Course. Mr. Sugg has been a National and Regional Claims Conference Instructor for the Property Loss Research Bureau. He has been a trainer and speaker for various insurance carriers and local, regional, and national claims organizations. Mr. Sugg consults with major technology providers to the claims and underwriting industry.
