Nepal Earthquake

• A deadly earthquake has hit Nepal, it’s worst in over 80 years.

• More than 5,000 people are reported to have died and 50,000 are injured.

• Thousands lie trapped in the rubble.

• Thousands of children are terrified and in danger.

Unicef is on the ground right now. We have prepositioned vital supplies, including water purification tablets, hygiene kits, tarpaulins and nutrition supplies. We’re also working with government and other partners to meet children’s immediate needs in the areas of water and sanitation, child protection, health and nutrition.
