ADOPT A HOSPITAL! Wounded boys are corning "home" to these 655 servicemen's hospitals. More than 1,200 a day are arriving by plane and ship from the battle-fronts.
Many of these men are bedridden. They're hospitalized for weeks . « . months . . . and the time passes so slowly.
You can help these boys who have given so much — for you! Adopt a hospital! Many organizations collecting waste paper are channeling
"' some of their waste paper funds to buy little extras for disabled servicemen . . . long distance JShone calls home, games, musical instruments

There are hundreds of these items. Ask the hospital Chaplain or your local Red Cross Camp and Hospital COnmittee. They'll bo glad to suggest what's needed.
There's a serviceman's hospital near you — probably with local boys in it. Or your organization may choose to heJo a more distant hospital,
Don't put it off. The boys are there now. They don't ask for much . . . but they c/eserve a lot! Obey that impulse!

Report Broken Street Lights IN COOPERATION WITH the notional conservation program to save
at much •loctricity as possible, we have discontinued-for the present the
I
testing of street lights in daytime. This means that lamps burned out or broken
will not be discovered, perhaps, until all street lights go on at dusk.
But the manpower shortage and other necessary wartime restrictions have
decreased the frequency of our patrols. We must therefore call upon all civlc-
mlndfd, patriotic citizens to phone u$when they nof/ce a ttrtt light out of order.
Adequate street lighting protects you, your children, your auto, the place where
you live; H helps prevent crime, expedites the movement of
workers, troops, war materials.
REPORT BROKEN STREET LIGHTS to any Edison office or to the police.
