With the constant demand for new services and better network performance, it is crucial for mobile operators to measure their subscriber’s QoE in a reliable, accurate, and reproducible way and to compare themselves with competitors. For that purpose, mobile operators run extensive measurement campaigns to quantify the marginal improvement needed to match or overtake competition, pinpointing specific areas where further optimization activities or network improvements are needed. In order for those measurement campaigns to be successful and cost-efficient, the process from data collection to result publishing must run smoothly so as to minimize the end-to-end effort and time without compromising quality of the results. This re-quires a tool that combines the faultless and automated information management, transfer, and processing with powerful analysis and reporting capabilities.

NQWeb is a platform that hosts a range of web applications to provide just those requirements to help unlock the value of customer perception oriented tests performed by SwissQual Quali-Poc and Diversity products. This is achieved by controlling the retrieval, storage, organization, and reporting of data collected during drive and walk tests, hence assisting engineers in net-work changes and managers in strategic decisions.

Lightweight and easy-to-use interfaceNQWeb offers full access to benchmarking data live over the web, meaning it can be accessed from any desktop client computer and can easily and fast produce reports and plots. Because it is a web-based system, NQWeb provides a rapid, lightweight interface for large volumes of data that can be made available immediately without desktop processing tools.

Adaptable and scalableNQWeb adapts the user interface to the needs of each user and makes it possible to streamline the individual user’s workflow, ensuring that “what you need is what you see”. It also allows multiple concurrent users to access Network Quality Data Investigator (NQDI) measu- rement databases. Our largest installation has more than 200 users accessing the same nationwide dataset. NQWeb shares the automated analysis of CS and PS call issues provided by NQDI, assisting the user to find the top most quality degrading network problems within just a few seconds.
