    How to establish a SAP Netviewer Connection

    Prerequisites and StepsOverview

    Prerequisites

    SAP software installation is registered at the SAP Service Marketplace (SMP)

    A valid UserID (S-User) and a password

    Internet Access with permission to download & run executables

    How to set up and establish a Netviewer support connection

    Open Access-Setup: http://service.sap.com/access-support

    Login to SAP Service Marketplace

    Maintain Connections and select a system

    Activate connection type Netviewer (Full Access)

    Dowload and/or execute Netviewer client

    Open SAP Netviewer website: http://www.netviewer.com/sap-ags/en/index.html

    Download or run client: http://www.netviewer.com/sap-ags/en/NV_o2m_Participant_EN.exe(no installation required, the executable can be used right away)

    Enter the SessionID you received from SAP support engineer

    DONE Your screen content is now shared with the support engineer!

    Login and Maintain Connections

    Open Access-Setup:

    http://service.sap.com/access-

    support

    Login to SAP Service Marketplace

    with UserID and password

    Click Maintain Connections

    View recently used systems

    OR Use Search Criteria to find the

    right system

    Select & Display a System

    Display system details by

    clicking on the System ID (SID)

    Choose Connection Type

    Netviewer (Full Access)

    Please IGNORE the warning

    messages regarding SAProuter

    and server definitions missing.

    SAProuter is NOT required for

    Netviewer via Internet.

    Choose connection type

    Netviewer (Full Access)

    Review Netviewer Connection Details

    Maintain connection contact

    details (Name, Phone number)

    by choosing from the list of

    registered key users

    Click Save to activate the

    Netviewer connection

    Netviewer Connection Setup Complete

    Connection type Netviewer

    (Full Access) setup completed

    If you want to remove the

    connection type, click the

    Trash Bin icon

    Open SAP Netviewer Website

    Open SAP Netviewer Website:

    www.netviewer.com/sap-ags/en/

    Choose Netviewer one2meet

    participant program as default

    sharing client.

    Special versions: If advised by

    your SAP support engineer, you

    may also use one of the other

    Netviewer versions.

    Run/Save Netviewer Client Software

    Run Netviewer client

    OR Save software to your

    computer and execute it

    locally

    Before using the client

    software you will get asecurity warning this

    executable is safe to use!

    Enter Netviewer Session Number and

    Start Screen Sharing

    Enter the Netviewer Session ID you received from

    your support engineer

    Enter a name

    Click Connect

    Confirm the next two popups with Yes and OK

    Your screen content is nowshared with the support engineer!

    Application sharing options & features

    Netviewer allows sharing specific windows or full desktop and provides applications

    like Chat, File Transfer and many more.

    Ending the Netviewer session

    When ready to end the session, please click the X in the session panel on the left

    hand side.
