DESCRIPTION
FlowGuard is a LAN and WAN network monitoring service that uses Netflow / Sflow and allows you to get information about the use of resources through an intuitive graphical interface. In particular FlowGuard allows to know which are the computers that are using the connection and for which applications. It is therefore useful because it provides the real time indication of the traffic type that is occupying the WAN link or the Internet, and, in case of congestion, it gives the information to restore service quickly. Furthermore, the application offers an automatic alert about the occurrence of abnormal events (Bandwidth-intensive, connection failure, DoS attack, ...). FlowGuard resides in a datacenter and the application is provided "as a service". On each site you have just to configure the border network device (firewall or router), to export statistics to FlowGuard servers.TRANSCRIPT
