IP Address
• A numerical label assigned to each device in a computer network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication.– xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx– Between 0-255– 22.215.137.234– Most tactical IP start with 22.
IPCONFIG
• Displays all current TCP/IP network configuration values and Domain Name System (DNS) settings. Used without parameters, ipconfig displays the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway for all adapters.
• Start>RUN>CMD>Ipconfig /all

IPCONFIG HostName
• Hostnames are human-readable nicknames that correspond to the address of a device connected to a network.

Uniform resource locator(URL)
• http://RAAS1:8080/AFATDS/admin• http:// = Protocol – How they talk.
• RAAS1 = Hostname– Resolved by DNS
• :8080 = Port – Think of it as a TV channel for computers
• /AFATDS/admin = content • You cannot use ! * ' ( ) ; : @ & = + $ , / ? % # [ ]
Ports SI should know
• PASS 7443 for default if that doesn’t work try using 8888 it is unsecured.
• Remote AFATDS application Server 8080
Tactical Web Portal Login
• You may be presented with a login box when getting on the portal– Your user name should be DOMAIN\Username• IE 3bct4id\wyatt.see
– 3bct4id is short hand for 3bct4id.ds.army.smil.mil my Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN)
– Then your password
CPOF trouble shooting
• The green star is a liar– It only pings the master server– Dose not know if the master server is working
• Your Username is like a Password• If it takes a password to change a setting you
should probably be talking to your S6 when changing it (cpof123)
• NEVER CHANGE THE PRESISNT CACHE LOCATION• Default button is our friend.
