Contributions from Churches Nov-Dec 2017 Neuse Notes from Jon
A great New Year’s resolution for 2018 is for each of us to be ready always to give an answer of the Hope that is in us. This is why Acts 1:8 is the theme verse for our Association. In line with this truth is our newest project — the Evangelistic Block Party Trailer. This tool will be ready on March 1st. Any of our churches who have gone through the required Training can sign up with Wendy to use the trailer and its accessories. A $200 deposit is required, of which $150 will be refunded when the trailer is returned in good condition. Our churches should plan on presenting the gospel during the activity as well as following up with new contacts made as a result of the event. The trailer is kept at the Association garage and the necessary forms are available from our office. It will take an organized effort to utilize this witnessing tool, and we will be glad to help you organize your day. Please remember that each church must have been trained to set up the inflatables and various other accessories that will be part of the Block Party Trailer. Along with the inflatables, the Association will provide the makings for cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones. Each church can add hot dogs, snack foods, drinks, and so forth. Many will want to have music, puppets, skits, etc to round out their event. Once again, a reminder that this is a serious effort by our churches. Our trailer must be approved by the Department of Labor and be adequately insured. The inflatables must always have adult supervision when in use. Also, the trailer and all items inside must be returned to the Association clean and in the same condition as when it was obtained. This project is a $10,000 investment that we want to be a very long project yielding many souls for Jesus Christ. I pray that you’ll make a con-scious effort to prayerfully prepare for your church’s part in this outreach!
Pastors’ Breakfast Meeting PASTORS,
It’s back for all interested ministers! We meet at our NBA RTC the 3rd Tuesday of each month, at 9AM. Breakfast is provided for only a $3
donation. More importantly, we have a time to share, encourage, and pray for each other. Please make plans to join us each month...we don’t travel
this road alone, and God is seeking to help us on this journey of faith and ser-
vice! Besides, it could very well be that YOU are needed to encourage
another!
See you there! Pastor Dave Fishman

IMB Missionaries to Mexico, Charlie & Robin Janney, are moving
from their current missions assignment in Mexico to Leon, Mexico. Because this move has to take place by April 2018,
they are coming stateside and will be in the US for 4 months. In light of this, there will be no NBA Mission Trip to Mexico in 2018. However, the Lord is bringing the Janneys home so that we can love, support, and
encourage them while they’re here. For more information on ways you or your
church might serve the Janneys during their time Stateside,
contact Pastor Greg Kincaid at 919-738-7407.
