Taking Flight: Assembling, becoming, queering

Camp schedule: June 12-16, 2017 If you are interested in attending these events, as we hope you are, meet after the camp in the lobby of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre to be escorted to the location of the event. You will be expected to cover the cost of public transportation when required. Please note there will be no escort to the Tuesday night game to the Rogers Centre. Take the TTC to Union Station or ask any of the volunteers for help with directions!

Walking Tour of Toronto

Information: Join Frances and Ebony for a walking tour of some of Toronto’s greatest neighbourhoods attractions and history Location: Meet at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre (weather permitting) Time: 5:30-6:30pm Price: Free!

Toronto Blue Jays

Information: Love baseball? Grab a last minute ticket to see the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Tampa Bay Rays. Tickets available online or you can purchase them day of, at Gate 9 Location: Rogers Centre (beside CN Tower) Time: 7:07pm Price: Price varies, upper bowl tickets are cheapest. Ask for student discount.

Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)

Information: Come experience some of Canada’s finest art and architecture. The AGO is also featuring the work of Georgia O’Keefe Location: 317 Dundas St W (St Patrick Subway Station) Time: 5:30-9pm Price: Wednesdays night are “Pay What You Can” night.

Bata Show Museum

Information: Bata is a footwear museum in downtown the Culture Corridor. The museum collects, researches, preserves footwear from around the world. Location: 327 Bloor St W., St. George Subway Station Price: Pay what you can, $5 suggested price

China Town/Kensington Market

Information: We will bring you into the heart of Kensington Market, where you will be free to walk around the diverse and multicultural neighbourhood famous for amazing food, arts, vintage shopping, and bars. Time: 5:30pm onward Price: Free!

Bata Shoe Museum: Location: 327 Bloor St W., St. George Subway Station About: The Bata Shoe Museum is a footwear museum in downtown Toronto, Canada, located at Bloor St. and St George St. in the Bloor St. Culture Corridor. Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada Location: 288 Bremner Blvd., close walk from Union Subway Station and located directly beside the CN Tower About: An award winning aquarium that offers jazz music and bars throughout on Friday nights. Price: $33, $5 off after 5pm

Casa Loma, Location: at 1 Austin Terrace About: See the historical architecture of the city, with a great view of the skyline, or test your problem solving skills in one of their famous Escape Rooms (see more at https://www.escapecasaloma.com/ Price: varies, tickets are $22.12 to go into the castle, but you can roam the grounds for free

Located at 5 St Joseph St. Comedy Bar, located at 945 Bloor St W. near Ossington Subway Station, come and check out a local comedy show and have a drink in the bar. The Get Well, located at ,1181 Dundas St W., this bar has great music, local beers, a pizzeria, and free arcade games The Hyatt Roof Lounge, located at 4 Avenue Rd, near Museum Subway Station, this fancy bar is known for having the best view of the city The One Eighty, Another bar with an amazing view of the skyline. Located nearby on the top floor of 55 Bloor St. W. Church St Garage, Just a stone’s throw a way from our venue, this is a hopping spot in the heart of Toronto’s Gay Village. Find it at 477 Church St. Wish, on 3 Charles St, close to the theatre with an eclectic menu and amazing weekend brunch too! The Lockhart, located at 1479 Dundas St W., this Toronto favourite is a Harry Potter themed space and menu, Potterheads rejoice! Track and Field, located at 860 College St, play lawn game for free in this underground bar while you sip on a local beer. Crews and Tangos, located at 508 Church St in the heart of gay village, catch a drag show or sing some karaoke while celebrating pride at this lively and LGBTQ bar Home of the Brave, an American themed bar with amazing comfort food, great music, and fun cocktails.
