up to 24,000 kilometres (19,000 kilometres with B20), up from 12,000 kilometres

• Incorporation of “Ram Active Air” technology on diesel engines – a computer-controlled valving system in the engine’s air box that automatically switches where air is pulled from (e.g., from under hood at fender or through the grille) that ensures optimal performance in all scenarios

• Next-generation, state-of-the art, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF, or Urea) system on all diesel engines ensures compliance with all diesel-related emissions standards while ensuring optimal fuel efficiency. This new system is a technological upgrade from the earlier DEF system on Ram Chassis Cab and ensures enhanced thermal retention, reduction of deposits within the exhaust system and enhancements for system durability

• Diesel engine cooling system now achieves 25% more heat reduction – a necessary enhancement due to the diesel engine’s higher output – that combines a “low-slung” positioned charge air cooler (CAC), faster-sequenced water pumps, an efficient 11-blade radiator fan and a unique series-designed dual radiator system

• Dual fuel filtration system on diesel engines enables Best-in-Class fuel filtration and water separation designed to enhance engine quality, reliability and durability in any climate

• Smart Exhaust Brake – an enhancement of the current exhaust brake on diesel engine applications. The technology controls the descent of the vehicle on downward slopes (hills) electronically using the variable nozzle on the diesel’s turbo for smoother, less aggressive exhaust braking characteristics

• New PowerNet Electrical Architecture provides a faster-performing, more electrical feature-capable on-board system featuring both a high- and low-speed data network. The network connects system modules and ensures that information is properly communicated and shared between them in milliseconds

• Centrally located switch bank includes five auxiliary switches on the lower portion of the instrument panel

• Intelligent battery sensor technology continually measures the flow of current into and out of the battery, in turn enabling “intelligent load shedding,” which systematically shuts off electrical systems onboard the vehicle if the battery is running low to help prevent a customer being stranded due to a low or depleted battery
