INSTRUCTIONS:

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE YOU BEGIN SEWING.

STEP 1 – CUT THE FABRIC

From the medium light fabric (flowers) cut:

• Eight 3 1/2” strips

• Fourteen 3 1/2” strips; subcut into (84) 3 1/2” x 6 1/2” rectangles.

From the medium fabric (dots) cut:

• Sixteen 3 1/2” strips

• For the Inner Border, cut Nine 4 1/2” strips; piece together and subcut into

two 4 1/2” x 84 1/2” and two 4 1/2” x 80 1/2” borders.

From the dark fabric (jet black) cut:

• Eight 3 1/2” strips

• Fourteen 3 1/2” strips; subcut into (84) 3 1/2” x 6 1/2” rectangles

• For the Outer Border, cut Ten 8 1/2” strips; piece together and subcut into two

8 1/2” x 92 1/2” and two 8 1/2” x 96 1/2” borders.

From the binding fabric (black) cut:

• Eleven 2 1/2” strips; piece together to make one long strip.

INSTRUCTIONS:

BEFORE YOU BEGIN SEWING.

STEP 2 – ASSEMBLE THE BLOCKS

1. Sew 8 of the medium (dots) and 8 of the dark (black) 3 ½” strips together along the long

edge. Press toward the dark. Subcut into eleven 3 ½” x 6 ½” rectangles per strip set.

Make 84. Sew these units to the 3 ½” x 6 ½” dark rectangles as shown. Make 84 units.

Square each unit to 6 ½” x 6 ½” if necessary.

2. Sew 8 of the medium (dots) and 8 of the medium light (flowers) 3 ½” strips together

along the long edge. Press toward the medium (flowers). Subcut into eleven 3 ½” x 6 ½”

rectangles per strip set. Make 84. Sew these units to the 3 w½” x 6 ½” medium light

rectangles as shown below. Make 84 units. Square each unit to 6 ½” x 6 ½” if necessary.

3. Assemble the block as shown below. Make 42 blocks. Square to 12 ½” as required.

INSTRUCTIONS:

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE YOU BEGIN SEWING.

STEP 3 – ASSEMBLE THE QUILT TOP 1. Sew six blocks together in seven rows alternating the orientation of every other block.

(see diagram below)

2. Sew the 4 ½” x 84 ½” inner borders to the two sides of the quilt top. Sew the

4 ½” x 80 ½” inner borders to the top and bottom of the quilt top.

3. Sew the 8 ½” x 92 ½” outer borders to the two sides of the quilt top. Sew the

8 ½” x 96 ½” outer borders to the top and bottom of the quilt top.

4. Layer the backing right sides down, batting, and quilt top together. Quilt as desired.

5. Trim backing and batting even with the quilt top and add the binding, matching raw

edges. Turn binding to the back and slipstitch.
