NEW AVENUES FOR YOUTH 2019 SCOOP-A-THON

You can be a “scooper hero” for youth in our community!

On Tuesday, April 9th, New Avenues for Youth will hold our 9th annual Scoop-A-Thon as part of Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone

Day with all proceeds supporting our programs for youth experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, and we’d like you to

join us!

New Avenues for Youth is the only nonprofit in the country that owns and operates two Ben & Jerry’s PartnerShops

offering real-world work experience for the young people we serve. Our annual Scoop-A-Thon is an opportunity for

businesses and individuals like you to scoop alongside the youth we employe and help raise awareness and funds for

New Avenues for Youth’s programs and services, including PAVE, our job readiness program, and our Service Industry Training Program.

Last year on National Free Cone Day, our Scoop-A-Thon teams scooped over 6,000 ice cream cones at our Partner-

Shops and raised an incredible $40,000 for our programs including job readiness training and education. Our annual

Scoop-A-Thon event consistently attracts news coverage and engages community members all day long and remains

the most successful charity event across the nation to be held on Free Cone Day.

We’re looking for businesses, organizations and individuals to not only help scoop for one hour in our shops and at a pop-up location that day, but commit to raising $2,000 - or more! - in support of our mission to prevent and end

youth homelessness. (Please see the attached for participant benefits.)
