FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSQ: Will the food for the camp be spicy?
A: No. There won’t be any spicy food for the camp.
Q: Will there be special arrangements made for vegetarian or any other dietary specifications?
A: Yes, we will indent separately for vegetarians or any other dietary specifications. Please indicate in the medical condition form or let the teacher-in-charge know.
Q: Can my child bring some sweet drinks or chocolates to the camp? I’m afraid he/she will get hungry in the afternoon.
A: There is sufficient food catered during the camp. As this is an outdoor environment, bringing food and drinks will attract pests. Please refrain from bringing any.
Q: My child has a sleepwalking problem. Any measures taken?
A: We will place the student on the 1st floor of the dormitory block and the sentry teachers will check on the student every now and then.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONSQ: Will there be time for my child to call home to update me that he/she is alright?
A: No, we do not allow the participants to use any of their mobile phones during the camp unless it’s an emergency. If you need to contact your child due to an emergency only, do contact the teachers or the school.
Q: Can I drop by to visit my child?
A: As there will be activities at every point of time for every participant, it will be disruptive if a parent drops by to see his/her child when they’re having their activities. Your child will tend to lose focus and may request to go home if they see their parents. Independence is one of the values we would like to instill in them so we hope you’ll refrain from coming to the centre unless it’s an emergency.
Q: If my child is very afraid of heights, will you force him/her to go through those high elements?
A: We advocate “Challenge by Choice” for every participant. We will not force them to do anything that they do not want to. Our instructors will usually do their best to encourage them to try.
