All of the children spoke brilliantly about why they think they should be voted in by the members of our school. They then gave us all an impossible decision of choosing who should be the new Diamond 6s. The votes were made and counted several times and in our Friday assembly we very proudly announced the new crew! Our new Diamond 6s are Noah, Callum, Evelyn, Amber, Jack and Billy with Rose and Lily as deputies. We wish them all well in their new roles and know that they will do a fantastic job for our school! The Welcome On Friday 6th March we will be holding our annual Welcome in recognition of St Piran’s Day. Information letters have already gone home with reply slips to be returned. We are aiming for the performance to take place on the Inner Green at approximately 10am with children singing, a maypole dance and of course a visit from St Piran! We will leave school in the morning to walk to the Inner Green where we will meet parents. After the event children will return to school ready for lunch. Please can children come to school in their costumes. KS1 children will be asked to wear clothes in Cornish colours of black, white and gold. Children in KS2 will be dressed as Miners or Bal Maidens. New Diamond 6s

During the week before half term, we heard the fantastic speeches from our next round of would be Diamond 6s. All

of the children spoke brilliantly about why they think they should be voted in by the members of our school. They

then gave us all an impossible decision of choosing who should be the new Diamond 6s. The votes were made and

counted several times and in our Friday assembly we very proudly announced the new crew! Our new Diamond 6s

are Noah, Callum, Evelyn, Amber, Jack and Billy with Rose and Lily as deputies. We wish them all well in their new

roles and know that they will do a fantastic job for our school!

World Book Day

Don’t forget that we will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 13th March. On this day children are able to

come to school dressed as a favourite book character. There will be a prize for the best ‘DIY costume’ in each

class. The winning costumes will be free or very cheap to make and created using garments/items already owned

or made from recycled materials. The children will also be taking part in fun reading activities on this day too.

Back by popular demand… To tie in with our celebrations of World Book Day we are inviting children to take part in

the Perranporth World Book Day Vegetable Competition. All children need to do to enter is to create a vegetable

scene from a book or a vegetable book character and bring their creation into school on Friday 13th March. One

child from each year group will win a trip to Waterstones in Truro to choose a select of their choice.

FOPS Book Sale

Thank you so much to everyone who supported the FOPS

Book Sale this week. It was great to see so many grabbing

a good book and getting excited about reading! Thank

you also to FOPS for putting on such an awesome event!

BF Adventure

An opportunity, not to be missed!

For those who like climbing, heights and adrenaline…

BF Adventure are launching a Via Ferrata! They want to build and market it with their customers in mind, so they’re

looking for people to answer some questions to help them in their market research. BF are aiming to target families

(with children aged 8+), groups of friends, couples or any individuals who love the outdoors and want to climb or

do something different in Cornwall. If that’s

you then they’d love to hear from you! In

return for your help, BF will give you a £10

voucher to spend on the Via Ferrata once

it’s been built, or you may wish to use it on

their other activities, including water sports,

climbing, abseiling, zip-lining, archery and

more.
