NEW EVENT EVALUATION RUBRIC When considering a new SPH OD event, please answer the following questions prior to planning the event to determine if the event is strategic, appropriate, and feasible. 1. What is the objective(s) of the event? Does this objective align with School priorities and how will you determine if the event was “successful”? 2. Who is the audience for the event and how many people do you expect to attend? Is there a budget for this event and does it take into account the different event elements? (Examples: invitations, speaker honoraria, speaker travel and accommodations, catering, alcohol, venue fees, parking expenditures, collateral, etc.) 3. Who is the point person for this event and how much time do they have to plan the event before it takes place? 4. Who are the stakeholders in the OD and beyond that should participate in the planning of the event? (Examples: Communications, Advancement, Student & Academic Services, department partners.) 1

When considering a new SPH OD event, please answer the following questions prior to planning the event to determine if the event is strategic, appropriate, and feasible.

1. What is the objective(s) of the event? Does this objective align with School priorities and how will you determine if the event was “successful”?

2. Who is the audience for the event and how many people do you expect to attend? Is there a budget for this event and does it take into account the different event elements? 3. Who is the point person for this event and how much time do they have to plan the event before it takes place?
