THE EMERGENCY ACTION PLANThe prime concern of emergency aid is to main-tain cardiovascular function and, indirectly,central nervous system function, because fail-ureofanyofthesesystemsmayleadtodeath.6,7Thekeytoemergencyaidinthesportssettingisthe initialevaluationof the injuredathlete.Timeisoftheessence,sothisevaluationmustbedone
