Please keep the following in mind while participating at the conference. It shall be the policy of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association to be in strict compliance with all Federal and State Antitrust laws, rules, and regulations. Therefore:
I. These policies and procedures apply to all membership, board, committee and other meetings sponsored by the Association, and to all meetings attended by representatives of the Association.
II. Discussions of prices or price levels are prohibited. In addition, no discussion is permitted of any elements of a company’s operations which might influence price such as:
a. Cost of operations, supplies, labor or services;
b. Allowance for discounts;
c. Terms of sale including credit arrangements; and,
d. Profit margins and mark ups, provided this limitation shall not extend to discussions of methods of operation, maintenance, and similar matters in which cost of efficiency is merely incidental.
III. It is a violation of Antitrust laws to agree not to compete, therefore, discussions of division of territories or customers or limitations on the nature of business carried on or products sold are not permitted.
IV. Boycotts in any form are unlawful. Discussion relating to boycotts is prohibited, including discussions about blacklisting or unfavorable reports about particular companies including their financial situation.
V. It is the Association’s policy that all meetings attended by representatives of the Association where discussion can border on an area of antitrust sensitivity, that the Association’s representative request that the discussion be stopped and ask that the request be made a part of the minutes of the meeting being attended. If others continue such discussion, the Association’s representative shall excuse himself from the meeting and request that the minutes show that he left the meeting at that point and why he left. Any such instances should be reported immediately to the President and staff of the Association.
It is the Association’s policy that a copy of these Antitrust Compliance Policies and Procedures be given to each officer, director, committee member, official representative of member companies and Association employees annually and membership of the Association. It will also be policy that a copy of these policies be provided prior to and acknowledged at the start of every association meeting.

The Corporate Symbol is used preferentially on all design items as
the core of Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s visual design system.
[Significance of the Corporate Symbol]
A symbolic representation of Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s corporate
philosophy, the Corporate Symbol adopts the initial “O” in Otsuka
Pharmaceutical as a motif. Representing the sky above, the large
“O” in gradations of Otsuka BLUE is intended to signify openness,
freedom, intelligence, and future. The small “O” in Otsuka RED represents
the focused energy of Otsuka Pharmaceutical, the wellspring of
these tenets. Offsetting the two forms poised in balance, the Otsuka
name is spelled out in an open and friendly typeface. The new
Corporate Symbol conveys Otsuka Pharmaceutical’s energetic
commitment to human happiness through good health.
Corporate Symbol A.2Basic Design System
Minimum Usable SizePlease observe the minimum usable
size of 10 mm in width of the Brand
Logotype. Reproducing the Corporate
Symbol in smaller sizes might impair
its appearance and its accuracy in
reproducing details.
The Corporate Symbol is also available
in a Small Version when it is required
to ensure accurate reproduction of
details under printing limitations, or
when it is shown on small design
items including product packages.
The width of the Brand Logotype
portion of the Small Version Corporate
Symbol must be between 7 and 10
mm. Basically, the Small Version
should appear in black or Otsuka
BLUE, or be reversed out in white,
but the color of the item—if printed in one color—on which the Corporate Symbol appears can also be used to
show the Corporate Symbol.
Horizontal VersionThe horizontal version must be used
whenever possible on various design
items.
Vertical VersionThe vertical version must be used only
when the horizontal version is difficult
to reproduce due to the characteristics
of an item on which it is shown and/or
space limitations.
