For the grand finale, they got to sample a little of our exercise classes led by Chris and Lou. The New Sun Times

From the Desk of Director Kathy Hull:

Milestones, Memories and Moppets When we learned that the second grade classes were adding us to their “Community” field trip this month

we wondered , “What is it that we can offer them?’ The answer was: quite a bit. When they arrived dripping wet

and undaunted by the long-awaited rain, they were able to see people quilting , view the art work on the walls

and in the craft cases, and witness people playing bridge. For the

grand finale, they got to sample a little of our exercise classes led by

Chris and Lou. They learned that most of us here are more than 60

years-old, with one member turning 100 that week (milestone), and

that we’re all still learning and enjoying friends (and no, we don’t

sleep here). They were so refreshing with their youthful enthusiasm

and we realized that we have a boatload, no, a cargo ship load more

of memories than they have and that we can share those memories

with them. We hope that they saw that “Life is good”.

Speaking of life being good, this November 24th I’ll be giving

thanks for all of you. You make our Senior Center a very special

place. May Thanksgiving and the holidays that follow be blessed and happy for everyone.

It was a real pleasure having Lindy’s family with us to cele-brate his 100th birthday.

Our quilters put on a beautiful display for New Fairfield Day in September. We’re so proud of our quilters!

L to R: Grace and Ann on the day that we gathered to thank Ann for her many years of serving us every weekday lunch. We wish her luck and are excited about seeing more of her as a participant here. Thank you, Ann!
