Fleming’s annual 8th grade TurkeyBowlwasplayedFriday,November22nd, inthe afternoon. As has been our tradition,thiswas the continuationof the“Colts vs.Eagles”footballrivalry.TheColtselectedtokick-off to get the game started. TheEagles' offense, led by quarterback EneasiPiuleini, picked up two first downs, butthenhadtopunt.TheColtsoffensebeganwithafewshortyardagegains.Thenonawell-executedpitchandpassplay,ChrisOrdoricaconnectedonabeautiful60-yardpasstoElijah Nuhi-Yandall for the game’s first touchdown. The ColtstoughdefensequicklystoppedtheEagles'ensuingdrive,andgotthe ball back in Eagles' territory. A couple of plays later,quarterback Raymond Robertson connected with Elijah Corado

fora30-yardtouchdownpass.ThefirsthalfcametoanendwiththeColtsup12-0. In the second half, the Eagles' defense was determined toturn things around. They stopped the Colts opening drive, then

quicklymoveddown the field aidedby twoexcellentpass receptions by Penieli Tailimetil. The driveculminated with a 1-yard touchdown run by RobertAndrus. When the Colts got the ball back, theyimmediatelywentbacktotheirprolificpassinggame.ButtheEagles'defensewasoperatingatawholenewlevel, and cornerback LeoBalanza steppedupwith a40-yard interception for the tying touchdown.
