Where can I travel?You may travel on any Stagecoach Cumbria bus on services X33, 505, 516, 555, 599 Open Top, 800 BikeBus and Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire X30 in the CentralLakes between Kendal (800 Bike Bus only), Windermere,Bowness, Dungeon Ghyll, Grasmere, Keswick & Whinlatter(800 Bike Bus only), Coniston, Torver, Muncaster Castle,Ravenglass and Hawkshead. 555 Service not betweenKendal and Windermere. See map on reverse for details.

You may also take a half-lake return cruise on WindermereLake Cruises boats on Windermere between Bownessand Lakeside or Bowness and Ambleside.

When can I travel?GoNoW Lakes gives you two days unlimited bus travelon the above services, plus one half-lake return cruise on Windermere.

And you don’t have to decide now which days you wishto travel, it can be any two days, even spread over morethan one visit to the Central Lakes, until 31st October 2015.

How do I buy a GoNoW Lakessmart ticket?

The GoNoW Lakes smart ticket comes on a smart card.When you arrive in the Central Lakes you can buy yoursmart ticket from one of the following outlets:

Windermere Lake Cruises Piers atAmbleside, Bowness-on-Windermere and Lakeside

Bowness and Windermere Tourist Information Centre

Alternatively, why not buy before you arrive from Windermere Lake Cruises, see website for details www.windermere-lakecruises.co.uk, or telephone015394 43360. Your card will be ready to use when youarrive in the Central Lakes.

How much will it cost?There are three tickets available at the following prices:Adult £24.00Child £15.00 (from 5th to 16th birthdays)

Group £66.00 (either one adult and up to four childrenor two adults and up to three children)

How do I use my GoNoW Lakessmart ticket?

Once you have bought your GoNoW Lakes smart ticketfrom one of our outlets it is ready to use.

When boarding a Stagecoach North West Bus, place theGoNoW Lakes smart ticket on the ticket machine - yourdriver will show you what to do if you’re not sure. Whenthe driver has checked the validity of the card, he willissue you with a receipt (a no value ticket). You may thenremove the card from the ticket machine.

You must place your card on the ticket machine each timeyou board a bus. Do not place the card on the reader ina wallet or purse with other cards, such as bank cards. Ifyour smart ticket does not work on first presentation ona bus, return as soon as possible to an outlet who willcheck and issue a new smart ticket. If you have alreadypartly used the smart ticket you must buy a new full-pricesmart ticket, but you will receive a refund by post.

Take care not to bend or damage the smart ticket.

GoNoW Lakes is also presently valid on the vehiclesof Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire X30 but not on other bus companies.

You may travel with the GoNoW Lakes smart ticket ontwo separate days, up to midnight of each day fromwhen you first board a bus.

When you travel on Windermere, present your GoNoWLakes smart ticket at the pier ticket office (do not proceed straight to the boat), where staff will check thevalidity of the card. You will receive a boarding pass tojoin the sailing.

You may enjoy one half-lake return cruise (Bowness to Lakeside or Bowness to Ambleside).

What can I do when I’ve used upmy GoNoW Lakes travel?

If you would like a further single day’s unlimited bus travel,you may pay on the bus.

Place your card on the ticket machine on the bus and askthe driver for a one day add-on.

This will cost as followsAdult £6.00 Child £4.50 Group £13.00

If you would like another half-lake return cruise on Windermere, take your card to a Pier terminal and ask fora one trip add-on.

This will cost as followsAdult £8.00 Child £4.80 Group £22.00

Take your card to one of the five outlets listed above andpay the full price again.

What do I do when I go home?Take your GoNoW Lakes smart ticket home with you andkeep it safe until the next time you visit the Central LakeDistrict when you can use it again.

What do I do if I lose my GoNoWLakes smart ticket?

Check with Windermere Lake Cruises (015394 43360) ifyour card has been handed in. I’m afraid we cannot replace your card.
