This collaboration placed 68 paid interns in 2014 & 2015. The Art Gallery, Human Resources, Information Technology, Department of Music, Peabody Museum, the Yale Police, Yale Athletics and Yale Medical Group were some of the departmental placements

New Haven Promise, a first-of-its-kind scholarship and support program in New England, has gotten multiple mentions from the White House in 2014 for its impact and work with city students. Yale funds the scholarship.Promise invests in students who have worked hard to get to college by providing up to 100% tuition — at in-state 4-year public institutions — or up to $10,000 at in-state private colleges — for qualifying graduates of New Haven Public Schools and approved charter schools.The Talent Pool• More than 500 students at 18 colleges • $3 million in Promise scholarship• Performed 90,000 hours of service• From each neighborhood & ward in the city

• Contribute to economic development by supporting the New Haven priority of investing in young local talent
• Identify and groom talent early for entry-level positions at Yale and other local businesses
