New Matrix SPR (Sales Project Request)


Major changes in the new SPR

� Changed of the project release process to improve release speed to 72 Hours

� Implementation Design objective in the SRP form

� Implementation of P-Number coming from screening meeting

� Possible for the TSS group to update SPR in the checking face

� SPR lifecycle changed to 2 major steps TSS (enter data from Screening meeting), Project manager

Creation of an SPR


Depending on project type selection the applicable lifecycle andDesignh objective form is connected to the SPR, ther efore extreme important to chose the correct project type. The pr oject type can not later be changed, and wrong choise here will cause t hat the SPR has to be started new.

Create Sales Project Request


Depending on project type selection the applicable design objective is connected tothe SPR for later editing, this selection is the ba se for the SPR, there exist 5 basic selections: Terminal, Connector, HEV, BFT, Boxes




Project team will be set up by the management team during the screening meeting and enteredduring the lifecycleof the SPR

Task list which is dependingon your role within the SPR

To edit the different parts of theSPR edit general bottom or chose

the tast you want to to performn


General SPR Information

Enter the P-number you have got from the screening meeting

Enter the volumes for the first 7 years, and for th e different carlines, and the summery for the carline and the years wiil be calculated after pressing “Done”


Please estimate the project feasibility (mandatory)

Please provide the competitor names (mandatory)

All green marked fields are mandatory forpromotion of the SPR

General SPR Information


In order to promote the SPR, please provide the green marked milestones. Required milestones may vary depending on the selectedproject type.In case you are missing some project milestones in the planned project, please estimate the dates based upon your experience.

Design Requirements

The design objective is now a integrated part of the SPR, and works in the same way as the taps for General information and Milestones, green marked fields are mandatory fields which need to be filled in to promote the SPR. In general it is the same fields known from the paper version used before as attachment


Finish SPR

To promote the SPR and forward to nextstep in the lifecycle, press „promote SPR“

In case the sales project request is no more needed ,Press „Set SPR Obsolete“


Tasks for performed by TSSThe task to enter the Project team decisions made i n the screening meeting has been transfered to the TSS gro up, the will enter project team information for sales, engineeri ng and quality. This is based on values entered in the screenin meet ing report, so the correct P No. in the SPR ist important

First step: accept the task and check if all nesse sary design informations are avalible

Task can be delegated to other members withthe same role


Assign Project Team Member

Assign the design location and the 4 Project tem fi elds according the screening meeting report, after entering all location and project tea m informations the task will disapper in the task list and the SPR can be approved.

In case needed design information or attachments ar e missing the SPR can be sent back to the status rew ork when the owner can add or exchange the information


First accept the task which is assigned to theproject manager role

Assign a project team and define project category(see next page)

After finishing both tasks, please approve or rejec t the SPR, in case of a rejection, please provide a reason in the comm ent field.It is not necessary to define the project category and a project team in case the SPR will be rejected!

To see the previous decisions of the sales and engi neeringmanager, please switch to „Related Tasks“

Project leader is predefined set to the SPRowner, the project manager can selecta different project leader

Project engineer and cost calculatoris mandatory to be defined

After a project is created, the project team will b e notified by an Email

Project Creation


1. Option: Select “My Desk” -> “My Tasks”, for tasks assigned to roles please switch from “Active” to “A ssociated”

2. Option: Select “My Desk” -> “Yazaki” -> “All SPR” a nd filter by the state of the SPR in the lifecycle
