New media refers to those technologies which are digital having features of being manipulated,
networkable, dense, compressible, and interactive. Some examples may be
the Internet, websites, computer multimedia, video games, CD-ROMS, and DVDs.

WIKIPEDIA• Wikipedia is a multilingual, web-based, free-
content encyclopaedia project operated by the Wikimedia Foundation and based on an openly editable model.
• Since its creation in 2001, Wikipedia has grown rapidly into one of the largest reference websites, attracting 470 million unique visitors monthly as of February 2012.
• Wikipedia is a live collaboration differing from paper-based reference sources in important ways.

• Some people indulge themselves in illegal activities like cyber crime, hacking and web trafficking.
• Stalkers can use social networking websites to get valuable information on there pray.
• Minimal online privacy.• Cyber bullying.
