The night starts off with Christina, the birthday girl, posing with her decorations, which will be kept for years to come in order to commemorate the day and her memory of it.

This picture above shows the different assorted Armenian cakes and pastries along with coffee and tea to create a more warm environment for the guests before the entrance.

The birthday took place in an Armenian Banquet Hall in North Hollywood, CA called Café Mirage. The reason for the extravagant celebration is as follows; the age 16 for an Armenian girl represents growth and intelligence for the young lady.

This picture shows a centerpiece that was placed on all 15 tables filled with guests. It highlights the theme of the night for the ceremony.

This picture shows the nights’ entertainers, the DJ’s. They are present at most Sweet 16s to keep the crowd moving and having fun throughout the evening. They played music according to the different backgrounds of the birthday girl, Christina including Greek, Armenian, and American Pop.

The above scene shows a camera man with his camera preparing to film the celebration as it takes place. This is done in order to document the night as a very important occurrence in her lifetime.

This is a picture of the Birthday Girl’s cake in which she will blow her candles, and cut her cake with her family by her side as a tradition to show importance to her age of 16.

The above picture shows her loving grandparents and her sister. They are all seated on her table as a significance of her love for her family members.

This couple shown above is dancing a traditional dance called “shalakho”. It is when 2 people are in the middle of the dance floor and are surrounded by the guests of the night. The guests respectfully stand around the couple and clap, cheering them on.

The above picture shows a father and daughter dancing the last tango of the evening. The screens in the background show the birthday girl’s pictures throughout the night. Soon after, the celebration comes to an end.
